I only got my chrome X-Pole a few days ago, and I'm so frustrated that I can't even climb the pole! The pole at the studio was so much easier to climb. I warmed up the room, the pole, and warmed up my body. I've been wiping my pole with alcohol all the time. It only feels stickier for the next 60 seconds and then it's back to slippery again. 🙁
How much do I need to use this to "break it in"? Do I need to constantly spin on it? I wish the pole would hurry up and become sticky enough to climb!

All this support I'm gettting here really means a lot to me. So glad I found this place, and I'm glad I took a really big step in starting pole dance.

Hey, xcandycoatedx! That's really cool to see another nursing student into pole too! You're pretty good at hiding it it seems. I always have this urge to tell people about it. I want SO much to show my parents how much I love it, but maybe I'll just wait until I get really good first. 🙂
Good luck to you!

I wish my parents would treat me like an adult too. But yeah… I'll just bear with this until I get a job in the nursing field.
Until then, I will see if I can try to show them some really artsy pole dancing videos like TaraKarina, 0blivious or even better – Veena! Maybe then my mom could see how we can strengthen and stretch our bodies while having a good time while not doing a super provocative kind of dance.
But… my parents are already having a hard time dealing with my brother's gender transition, and of course they'd be very upset with my decision to start poling. =\
Thanks again for the welcomes!

Are you gonna quit nursing school now and become a stripper?" I wish I could set up my pole in my boyfriend's place, but he lives 40 miles away, and because my parents forbid me to see him, they check my mileage so I can't drive to his place. =( Anyway, I do hope you find a way to put up your pole!
Hi sensualscimitar! Congratulations on moving out! I will have a place to myself hopefully sometime soon! Lucky you!
Thank you for the warm welcomes, ladies!
