Hey! Just thought Id join in…. I have had it done before and know about 4 friends that have also had it done.
I thought the results were great! The place I went – now this will be greaphic – but she counts all the "pieces" that are over 3 inches long – and a friend of mine had something like 38 and I myself had 25. Now do the math on that! That is a lot of extra stuff in there.
Now you can watch this process at the place I went. So I know she wasnt making it up.
And about the good bacteria – she uses a liquid chlorophyl that gets diluted in with the water they use to clean you out. Also the amount that is going in you at one time is only 1 cup of water. So this isnt a blast of a large amount or anything.
I went twice and a couple months and that was about a year ago. I had no ill effects from it and was definitely less bloated going forward.
Two of my friends who go to the same place – they have a twist in their bowels or a kink, where material backs up over time. You can still pass poop, however its only when the back up beccomes too much that it will untwist to allow stuff to move. Usually a kink will happen if you were ever in a car accident or had some sort of trauma to the body or abdomen. Even pregnancy.
Also it is great if you are lactose or gluten intollerant. If you have a back up of stuff in you and switch to gluten free, that stuff will sit in you for some time and you may wonder why going gluten free hasnt helped. Its cause its still in there!
I know Ive kinda jumped all over with this, but make your own decision based on information you gather and what you feel is helpful. Things like this arent for everyone and not everyone has a good experience or good results.
Good luck!

Hi Ladies!
You have all finally convinced me to try it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Why not! I didnt read all the posts so this might have been covered, but can you have sex wearing the cup? Im not sure about others, but I am particularly "randy" during my cycle but dont like to have sex as it can get messy, so just wondering if anyone knows how that plays out with the cup?
Any advice would be great!
Thanks!

Hey everyone!
I didnt read all the posts so Im sure this was said.
I LOVE tattoos! I think tattoo are becoming the norm. Everyone has tattoos. When I got my first tattoo 12 years ago I was 17 and no one had tattoos. Now its hard to find someone in the age range of 20-35 without at least one.
I have 3 – one in my lower back, one on the inside of my left wrist and one that starts on my right shoulder and is currently being worked on to make its way down to my right outter thigh/hip.
I think if they mean something to you and they are not offensive, it shouldnt matter where they are. The one on my wrist is visible to everyone and it is a cancer tribute to people I am losing at the same time with cancer. If someone was to judge me based on that tattoo I would absolutely lose it on them.
I think you should go for it! Especially if you are thinking about going into any kind of therapy I think the people you would encounter would be the least likely to be judgemental.
Good luck and happy tattooing!https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Hey Ladies!
Ive had the same problem. Where it feels like bone pain in the same location – I thought I had a stress fracture or something – but yes, its from too many split grips and repetivite use without stretching. Its quite common I find especially when working on a lok of split grips.
Everyone is right, physio and massage and stretching properly after really help, even home self massage.
Good Luck!

Hi all! I didnt read all the posts but thought Id jump in.
I am from Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Canada and about 9 years ago they made it illegal to drink alcohol in strip clubs. I was only 18 at the time so Im not sure why they did it.
They did try doing strip clubs here with out alcohol being served in them and they eventually all closed down.
We currently dont have any clubs at all here with pole dancers. However some night clubs are starting to put poles in their clubs and hire girls from the pole studio I manage to do actual perfomances.
Anyway, thats my input. Just saying they tried it here and it didnt fly. The biggest problem is now as a studio offering pole dancing for fitness is we are having to overcome this huge negative condontation to stripping. I really dont see a problem with either. I think dancers who do go nude are extremely confident and sexy! I could never do it!
Im sure there are a few that get into for negative reasons, but doesnt mean everyone does.

Thanks for posting this!!! Im going to have to try it!
I use sugaring rather than waxing – my genetics makes shaving a really bad idea. Sugaring paste readymade is quite expensive for what it is.
I use this guide to making it http://www.beauty-fitness-savvy.com/sugaring-hair-removal.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It works and is really easy to correct. If it isn’t sticky enough cook it some more. If it’s too hard then add some water.

Look slike laser is the way to go…. but too bad about the money issue. I always think stuff like that would make for a great xmas present, but how do you ask your family for laser hair removal for your kitty! lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif
As for the suggaring, I have only done it in a salon. Havent tried the home kits. The salon way – basically its sugar, lemon juice and water and it turns into a honey substance, she then rubs her fingers togther and it turns into this ball of gum and uses just the one ball for the entire brazillian area!
Maybe I should try the at home kit….? If someone else has tried it, or will, let me know how it goes. Ive tried at home waxing and never seem to get it right. -
Hi Ladies!
So I have been a shaver for many years. Then I tried waxing (I was chicken for awhile). Waxing was great until I became a fitness instructor and was teaching a lot. Then I started to get really nasty ingrowen hairs. I was contemplating laser (I still am) however i cant afford that much at once right now.
So someone suggested getting "Suggared". I went and I LOVE IT!!!
I always thought suggaring was just another way to wax, but its not. I waxed for about 2 years and it seemed to actually get worse if that makes sense. The hair got prickly fast and never got really thin.
Suggaring, well the first time I tried it I only felt pain for about 20% and that was on the lip area. (I am talking about a brazilian) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif I didnt have to go for anohter 5 weeks! ANd there was only about 20 % of the hair!
I went again (my second treatment) and again waited 6 weeks! Ive also started doing my pits and the hair on the kitty https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif area and my pits is so fine its like baby hair!
There are no prickly hairs, the hair is so fine and thin, and it hurts WAY less, also my ingrowen hairs are almost gone and I am not getting any new ones, and eventually you can go a couple months without having to get it done!
It costs about $40 for Brazilian and $20 for pits.
I will never recomend waxing again, Im a sugar girl! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif -
Not that it matters, but does anyone know if it was two falls Jenyne had? The end and did she mean to fall out of the Jade?
I only ask because it looks on purpose except for the speed of the fall. Looks like it hurt. Also it didnt look like she was in full position yet.
I havent had a chance to watch all of the videos but I have heard a lot on the poles being slick. Ive always wondered what happens in competitions with all those different competitors and grip aids. I know I cant go on a pole with a different grip aid, its too slick, and I couldnt imagine trying to do some of those moves on a slick pole! How dangerous. They do need to think of a better system for that.
I admire all the ladies that competed for their talent, grace and athletic ability!
Great Job! -
Here is Jenyne’s video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPYwJiEyKyg
Its not the official one but you can at least see the whole thing here.
Poor girl, I love Jenyne and she is heartbroken with her performance. I think it was great and she recovered gracefully.JENYNE you are still amazing and my pole idol! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

MemberSeptember 13, 2010 at 5:49 am in reply to: What’s the Secret to the Cross Ankle Release?I didnt read all of these posts so Im sure someone already said this, but for me you definitely have to tilt your legs up first, so you have a bit of a lock with the knees on the pole. Then as Veena said, walk your hands down the pole if you can. Even one hand will help.
Once you get down there, for me, getting up the first time was challenging. You have to really think about what muscles to use to sit back up. Again, use the hands under you to sit back up and lock those knees on that pole.
Another helpful hint (someone else mentioned) do this from a headstand and get used to the feeling, you really get a lock with the knees in that position!Once you master it you will love it!
one of my favs! Good Luck! -
My back too is finally healing. I got a massage and although it felt a bit better after, it really felt great three days after (delayed response). I now can invert again, as well, but I also have noticed I really round my back when doing any inverts as well. Trying to work on basic strengthening and trying to go up slower with more control, concentrating on how my back is positioned. But it VERY hard not round my back. How straight are we aiming to get it? Anyone have a video or image of how an beginning/intermediate student should look when going into the chopper? How do you prepare and train for it if you are not strong enough to do it properly (straight) yet? Any ideas or hints would be much appreciated.
I really enjoyed Jamilla Deville’s video on doing the Chopper or the Straddle. Her positioning is amazing. I think that is how straight the back should be.
I have found that I can do a slow and controlled basic invert, but to actually do a slow and controlled Chopper/Straddle, I just cant seem to get my legs back far enough to hold the position without first going into a basic, then going to a Chopper/Straddle. I dont get how people can just tilt back and have their legs go straight back. Mine dont seem to do that!
Any ideas why that might be?? -
Hey ladies! I go throught the exact same pain every once in awhile. I know of many other pole students and instructors that experience the same pain. The people I know who get this all seem to get it from the Chopper. (where you go up like a basic invert and split your legs) I have been told by Jenyne Butterfly that it is from letting your back round out rather than keeping it engaged in that position. Your weight (no matter how little you weigh) is a lot of weight to put on those muscles.
That would totally make sense that when you grabbed on to the pole before you hit the ground, the last thing you were thinking about was engaging your back and shoulders!
Chiro and massage really helps and I found a home trick for those of you who are pinching pennies like me!
Buy 2 tennis balls and place one in an old sock, tie a knot above the ball (it should be pushed down into the toe of the sock) then put in the other tennis ball (now sitting on top of the knot) then tie another knot above the second tennis ball. Its gonna look a bit like a really big set of benoit balls! lol Then flip the remainder of the sock over the balls to make them look like one piece.
Then lay the balls on the floor, and lay your back right on the painfull spot right on top and massage it out using the floor for leverage.
This works really well even for just rolling up and down the spine and getting into the shoulders.
It will hurt under that spot but it is necessary!
And the thought of sneezing…. ouch!
Good Luck!! -
Hey ladies! This isnt me…. too much work to post a vid …. lol
I found this one of this girl dong a Shoulder Mount into a Brass Monkey and an awesome way to come out of it!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVPMtFI–4o&feature=related
Going into it is much easier than you would think. If you can do the shoulder mount, you can do this.
Thanks again!
