Oh Glitter, I’m sorry! i Know exactly how you feel…except I’m younger than my sister… my sister has always been my mom’s favorite, my mom even said that to me once "your sister is my favorite and you are your fathers favorite"… it sucks not having a relationship with your mother, I became very close with my step mom because of this and i saw that it hurt my mom, but she was not willing to try to have that relationship with me so i never really felt that bad about it… i love my sister to death, but she has always been a screw up and my parents have spent most of their time bailing her out of f*cked up situations while i was put on the back burner… I’ve never felt wanted or needed by my mom, i know she loves me but i also know it doesn’t bother her not to have a close relationship with me… she was a good mom and always did the right things, but i never really felt any warmth behind her actions, it was always kinda like she was just going through the motions and doing and saying what she thought she should… in one way I’m happy for that because it has made me a very independent and responsible woman, but i do still feel that void… my step-mom passed away 2 1/2 years ago and that makes the void seem even deeper, she gave me what my mom could not and now that she is gone i feel very lonely in that aspect…i feel your pain and i know your mom loves you, but it sucks…

Hey Roxy! All i know is that my pole instructor was ACE certified… as for east coast training there is a studio in NYC, http://www.nypoledancing.com/, that does pole dance certification… i believe its around the $2,500 range but it covers everything from spins to anatomy… I want to take it myself but the price is whats holding me back… let me know if you find anything else out!

I totally agree with Carmel! Post a vid! i was AWFUL (and still am haha) when i fist posted vids, but thats what helped me the most. You get great feedback and suggestions which really help motivate you and show you what you’re doing wrong. Post a vid! it will really be helpful i think! don’t be so hard on yourself, everyone has to start somewhere! xoxo

I TOTALLY AGREE with SissyBuns! I have the Flirty Girl pole, i got it because you could pay in installments, but you would be better just saving your money and buying the x-pole. The Flirty Girl pole isn’t a horrible pole, it hasn’t fallen or any of the terrible things i hear about the peek-a-boo poles. i have learned everything on it, but the studio i was taking classes in had lil’ mynx poles and they were a thousand times better. It tore up my ceiling as well (and i rent, woops!!) and it loosens up very quickly so you constantly have to stop to tighten it. The finish is kinda crappy and can get pretty slippery, the dvds are a waste of time, you’ll learn so much more from Veena and other great dancers on YouTube. I’d say splurge on the X-Pole and pay the $99 bucks for the year of Veena’s lessons and you will be more than happy you did! Now i have wasted $260 bucks on the Flirty Girl pole and i want the X-pole which is gunna be another $300 some odd bucks, so in the end i screwed myself…I guess this has taught me that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!!
