I just have the one account. I’m pretty selective on who is on my FB because it has my family and close friends. There are people on there from SV but its mostly people I’ve known for a long time and talked to for over a year through SV. I will sometimes block my Dad and some of the male family members from videos I feel are a little too risque, but other than that- I have all my pics open for sharing. After watching the video and reading the lyrics, the only opinions I have are this is just a song about the typical male fantasy. Its the illusion of the working poler and in reality that is all the man really wants. The fantasy. Sex sells. Thats all I got out of this song. I didn’t get a feeling of disgrace for the pole community whatsoever. Just sayin.

wI’ve had two major accidents- my first was November of 2009- I was working on split grip and put my foot through a glass table. Went to the ER- luckily no fractures but it was swollen and sure felt broken. Second was when I was leaning back upright and lost grip with my legs. My back and leftx side of my body hurt so bad after that and my tail bone still hurts from time to time. I didn’t go to the ER for the second injury. I did get both on video.

I combine hooping as part of my pole warm up. I cheat and use a regular hula hoop I got from walmart- it works just as well for me but if you’re wanting something that is weighted, refer to the recommended hoops per hoopnotica. Eventually I’ll invest in a better hoop but for right now, my cheap hoop does me justice. Also, you may want to research your area and see if there are hoop groups. My friend in Florida is in a hoop group and its a group of women that meet together on certain days in a park and do a hoop workout together. I’m really glad you got things checked and its ok. After you sent me that pic last night and told me your symptoms, I was really worried. Although it is very rare to develop a blood clot from being on birth control alone. Often DVTs (Deep Vein Thrombosis/Blood Clots) form when you have multiple risk factors working against you as well.

DVT can be a serious and its important to seek immediate attention if you suspect you have one. Pole dancing does pose a risk to forming DVTs because of potential for traumatic leg injuries. However its not something we should be consistently worried about, it is good to be educated on this issue and know what to look for in case it happens. I’m excited about doing this challenge. Such an excellent idea! I also love the lessons now. I haven’t done the lessons in 2 years and I knew you’d made changes but I didn’t know they were so amazing! Good job Veena!
