Sorry, meant size/diameter and finish of the pole.

I would also like to know the size and diameter. I don’t have a pole yet, and having been wanting one badly lol
-
How much is it? Are the joints threaded?

I work at a spa, and what you're talking about sounds a lot like what can happen after a good deep tissue massage (which mimics working out in some ways, as far as your muscles are concerned).
A lot of times, when knots get worked out and/or when muscles are used more than they have been before, they release a lot of lactic acid (what my boss calls "cell poop" lol), which gives you that achy feeling.
Also, staying hydrated is key. Drink lots of water; it'll help flush the lactic acid and whatever else you have built up in there out of your system. Taking a relaxing bath might help, too, because your body will absorb a small amount of water by doing so. Mostly though, just drink lots and lots of water. =/

I’ve had 2 ACL surgeries; completely severed it both times. First surgery, they stripped my hamstrings, srcond they used a cadaver acl (I’ve named it Yossarian). The hamstring-stripping took a lot more for me to recover, and my left leg has been smaller than my right ever since. The cadaver was almost a cakewalk, compared to that. However, my joints are all loose anyway, and even though the ortho did my 2nd acl uber-tight, it’s still loosening up too much, and I tear it a little all the time. The only thing I can’t really do as far as pole, though, (bearing in mind I’m a total beginner) is walking around the pole without paying attention to my feet. If I pivot while on my left foot, I come unhinged and tear again. Also, the “slipping out” thing happens in floorwork if I squat more than 90°. You can work around these, and it’s not a big deal if you don’t focus on what you used to be able to do. Just pay attention to your body’s abilities; it’ll def let you know if you shouldn’t be doing something.
Also, I was up on crutches the same day, and hiding my crutch in my gym locker every morning at school before two weeks. I wouldn’t recommend that, though, because your body gets used to limping a little, and that’s a hard habit to break. =p

I was wondering: did y'all sell/buy that? I live in Texas, too, and I'm interested in getting a 45mm xpole. I'd prefer the x-pert, but really, any will do, as long as it'll hold me =D

I know I’m a little late, but I just joined and saw this. To everyone with hypermobility, using it to look prettier, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! I have hypermobile joints, all of em, and took the increased flexibility and pretty lines for granted. Now I’m 24 and had 2 acl replacements in my left knee by the time I was 19. You would be amazed all you lose after those surgeries. Don’t ever let your knees “fall inwards”, and be super-careful when rotating on them. Take extra care when supporting your weight on your joints and make sure you always keep good form. Good form for all your moves will save you SO much grief later, I promise.

Were you still binging after you had the period with the really bad cramps? If not, it really could have been pregnancy. An unviable pregnancy will usually miscarry fairly early on. A miscarriage is like a really bad period, with the worst cramps imaginable. Taking the pill could also be what’s making the pregnancies unviable, because of the hormones. I was just wondering, because if you weren’t still binging after the period, I’d recommend changing birth controls…
