I have vaulted ceilings. You just need a vaulted ceiling mount π

I feel that having rules regarding conduct and dress IN the studio or while officially representing the studio, are perfectly appropriate. But ones life outside of the studio should be their own business in my opinion.
The only part that *kinda* maybe makes sense to me is the amateur vs professional issue. But that’s a grey area. Sigh. I’m sorry that we can’t just all get along and have fun. -
* tend to grip too tight in blind hand grabs
P.S. Not a ridiculous fear! It hurts! But I think pole is worth it π

Electrical tape will be grippy a bit more than you’ll want,I think. I trends to grip to tight in bling hand grabs and get pole burn on my inner wrist. I like to just wear fingerless glove on that wrist, glove pushed down to not be on hand, or just snip the end off an old sock and put the tube portion on. You don’t need protection so much as a smooth surface to glide over the pole. That is if, you are having the same problem I have, lol. I’ve never gotten a thigh burn, but I do have scars on the tops of my feet from climbing. That’s when the electrical tape comes in handy. Gotta tape those bandaids on! Its not so much a problem once you’ve got the technique down, in the mean time- stick with it trooper!!! You can do it!

My fiancΓΒ© has been doing pole with us and mostly he does the same stuff we do. He wears tight undies, like high performance work out stuff, but no protective gear. He does have to shave his hairy monkey legs to get grip though! And he learns everything really fast cause he has that inherent upper body strength going for him. Check out PoleRanking.com and watch some of the male performers for ideas on styling.

I think I like the rock version better but I think it all depends on your dance style. I would perfer dancing to the dubstep-more my flow.

So in the meantime I like to focus on the ones that do and be proud of my efforts to get better at the ones that don't. Then later as you learn more tricks and moves you can revisit anything that didn't work out so well at first and one day it'll click right into place.

Kwik sew is good. Stretch and sew is another company that does knit patterns but I prefer kwik sew. I’d also try Ebay for vintage sewing patterns. Or do a search for Blue Gardenia or The Blue Gardenia. I buy a lot of vintage pasterns from them. Also I’ve seen some vintage swim suit patterns on Etsy. As for fabric, I’d try Spandex World. Reasonable prices and lots and lots of variety.

Did you smack the ceiling? In all of the tricks I have learned and all the things I can do, that was my favorite moment of all! Climbing to the top of the pole and smacking the ceiling. I told EvErYoNe!
One of my friends actually remembers the first time I saw someone climb a pole. I leaned over and said, “I want to do THAT!”
And I did π
Be proud and enjoy π -
Oh, $465… I just remembered that one time right after high school… Lol!

$440 This made me think and laugh π
