I agree with people here and have also a problem with sweaty hands. I got my 45 mm chrome powder coated black and the grip is amazing, but I still have to use some grip aid to get the sweat off. It is so pretty though!

I bought a liquid grip aid made for climbing (basicly the same thing only more for less price). I think that one works the best but if I ever want to compete or something like that I would probably go for the botox. 🙂

I can now do dances and moves after eachother (finally) but I still sweat alot and get problems. I do find the powder coated to grippy sometimes and "get stuck". Once i tried to slide down and i can just say I wont be doing that anymore! 😉

I did find the top I want, right colour, right size. But the bottom I want is only available in one colour in my size. 🙁 I guess I´ll wait a bit more. 🙂 Just so frustrating, I have been looking at the same set for like 2 months. The one time they had it I couldnt afford it. 🙁

Is there another brand you can recomend? 🙂

I have only had one "bad fall" and it was when I just learned inverts and wanted to learn to go to a handstand from a cross knee release/hangback (?). I lost my focus for a second and slipped before my hands were in place and landed on my head. My neck was a bit sore and I was scared to try again but otherwise I was fine. Didn´t try it for a long time again though! 😛

Otherwise I have had some more funny falls. One was when I learned to stand in a bridge with my butt to the pole and push of with one foot and "walk-over" through a handstand to standing. One time I stopped pushing to soon and I was sure It would work. And no, I just fell right back on to my back and strarted laughing. 😛 Got it on video and it looked hilarious! 😀

I was thinking about getting a lil mynx because I liked the grips to my hands but I am afraid I wont be able to do drops when I get to that point. I love the look of an xpole but maybe I should get a 45 mm in an other finish? 🙂 Plus there are no seller of Lil Mynx here in Sweden so it would be quite expensive and since we are talking about moving I dont know if the ceiling height will be ok then. I like it with the xpole that it it so adjustable.

I would like to try the xstage though! 🙂

I use dry hands but those hopeless days it doesnt help. I love xpole in every way except that part. 🙂 My gloves broke so I have buy new ones. I was thinking about trying excercises for my hands. Anyone know if xpole pink edition is any different in grip?

I love her stretches except the ballistic part. As you say, it hurts to much. 😛 No, no shooting pain. It is just really tight and is a bit uncomfortable, some days I cant breathe through tho. The actual stretches has only been hurting the last week for some reason. I guess I just got worried. 🙂 The pain usualy comes the day after.

I also like Felix stretching DVD and her exercises. 🙂

    What is resistance stretching? 🙂

Thanks for the tips. What really irritates me is that I was in my front split about 2 weeks ago and now it just hurts and I am not even close.

I have tried find foam rollers here (sweden) but I can´t find it.

I do have problems with my back and neck that I get treatments for. Could that effekt the splits?

I do a few different exercises for the front splits (some from Aletheas DVDs and Felix and some from youtube and of course here. ) 🙂

One of my reactions was that I was maybe doing it to much/often and maybe that is why Im sore and so. 🙂

  • I saw a clip on youtube with Felix Cane 4 years ago and fell in love. I was bigger then and had no confidence what so ever so I didnt have the courage to try. But I guess the dreaming started there.

I´ve always hade low selfasteem and I never feel neither sexy, beautiful or graceful. When I got my pole 2 years ago the only time I felt good about myself was when I danced. And it was so fun! I havent been able to start to dance often until last autumn because of a bad back.

I guess I started because it looked so beautiful and I wanted to be aswell. And now when I do I more often I just feel so damn calm and happy. It is my lucky pill. 🙂 It´s good exercise, helps my back and a real ego boost.

Haha, I sound so lame! ^^
