hope it helps! in my opinion, mac is the way to go. i love mine. everything is so simple. takes a while to get used to the switch but once you’re used to everything, its so easy. especially for creative tasks like movies and photos lol

I take still shots from my movies in imovie all the time. i cant remember if it is in the "event" or if its in the clips in the "project" you’re working in, but if you right click on the frame you want to take the picture of, there is an option close to the bottom of the drop down menu something like "add still frame to project", and that will add the image to the project you’re building. if you right click on the image in the project, you can go "reveal in finder" and it will show you where the jpeg is saved on the computer.
Hope this helps! any questions feel free to ask https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
What version of imovie are you using? I did some research and imovie 08 changed dramatically from the 06 version. I am wondering if 09 this capability was fixed then?
I think it have 08 – i bought my mac about 2 years ago and never upgraded to 09 (pretty sure i still get the "upgrade to 09" pop up when i start up imovie https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif
