lol thanks ladies!!! wow wasnt expecting such an exhaustive list

I use to pole for about 2 hours 5 days a week. But not that I am starting out again and have a baby I am aiming for every second day for an hour to an hour and a half of poling, not including warm up or cool down/stretching.
I do believe you get out what you put in though, you will nail more moves if you practice them more but you can’t over do it. Also I think the best way to heal faster to progress faster is to eat better. Having a green smoothie after a work out is a great way to get extra calories and vitamins etc to help your body heal up -
Ahh well I just ordered. Brass pole anyway with 45 mm. Wish me luck! lol it can’t be any worse than my stainless steel I don’t think =P
-
Yes we have no where here for me to try one though. The only other pole I’ve been able to try is a tg and it felt a lot better than stainless steel but I don’t want one as I heard that after a couple months it begins to wear off anyway

Thanks AerialGypsy! Im definitely thinking more and more that brass is the right choice for me. The more I read up on old posts the more I think it will work best.
The stainless I have is also 50mm so i think that just makes it even worse!! I am thinking about going for a Brass 45mm pole. Anythoughts? -
I will definitely go check out your videos! I look forward to it =) ugh I’m so jealous. I’m 9 months post partum and STILL 15 lbs over my pre pregnancy weight. I wasn’t able to exercise as I could barely walk and Eric was a very difficult baby. Hopefully now I can get back on track!

Thanks Veena. I just did my first pole session post baby about 15 minutes ago and although it was pretty bad it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I guess some tummy muscles are hard to get rid of. Flexibility is zilch and there are no chances of an invert anytime soon as to be expected but I’m thankful for what muscles stuck around!

Awe thank you for the reply =) I am glad I posted on here I think it was the right first step for me! =P I am motivated and am ready to get back in shape and get the body I deserve! Plus I’m getting married in February of 2015 and need to be in the best shape of my life for it!!! I will have to search some how for mommas after they had babies to give me more inspiration. It’s just hard when your body knows what it wants to do but physically lacks the muscles to do t =\

I will definitely take befores and after a and probably a first video to laugh at myself now when I get good again. I was never awesome but I had started gaining enough strength to do some good moves. Wish me luck. Feel free to add me as a friend. Thank you so much for your advice

Thank you so much your response was inspiring and I am going to go look at your videos right now! I wanted to continue poling while pregnant like so many of the beautiful moms on here but I had severe SPD and could barely walk mind you exercise. Now that my hips are better I hope to get started again. I guess part of the trick now will be finding he time !!
Thanks again for the response. -
Have you considered taking a vegetarian supplement? They will give you a good range of all needed vitamins Also do you eat things with lots of vitamin C, vit c helps absorption of iron if you eat both things in the same meal. I would definitely go for blood work if your worried about it and have a history of anemia. Do you drink a lot of milk? Milk can make iron absorption difficult for vegetarians

Lol okay thanks veena. Ugh I feel like my stupid hands have held me back soooo much! Haha I always hate the beginning of a pole session when the pole is. Ld and your not warm yet

Also I don’t know any pole dancers here
