Clarita, I loved your video and really like your style! You’ve got such fresh energy and you link your spins together so well. Don’t be so hard on your figure – you look great! We all have body quirks that we have to work around, and you certainly do not look pregnant! Keep up your hard work and I am sure you will become more confident in your skin. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Lily – good call on the arnica! I use the same cream, as well as little arnica tablets that dissolve under the tongue. I have found they work miracles and I can wear shorts now. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I also love to soak in a hot bath of epsom salts – that always makes my muscles soften and relax. So good before bedtime! I drink lots of water and firmly believe that you are what you eat. That being said, I will look like a pizza tomorrow.

Very nice job! You’re learning really fast – your spins are smooth and you move so gracefully. Your reverse grab is divine – that one took me 3 months to get!

My hands are sweatier than usual right now, just because of the heat and humidity outside – so I find I have to wipe the pole down more frequently than usual. I like to use rubbing alcohol, but I have heard of people using Windex or even vodka as well. There are also products like Dry Hands that you can buy online – but I’m hesitant to try that because I don’t want to be too sticky. Using a microfiber cloth to wipe seems to help as well.

Have fun with it – hope that helps!

WOW! Thank you for all the advice. Going sideways is a little foreign to me – I will try all of these ideas. And Roxy, let me know what time tomorrow and I’ll definitely come out. Eat your Wheaties, because I am a mess! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Jonessa, I am learning the cross-knee release and I have the same worries. These are all really great tips that I am excited to try. I felt like I was making some headway with it a few days ago, but then my inner thighs were so sore I didn’t practice that for a couple of days – now I’ve taken a couple of steps back. I love progressing backwards. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

    But I’ll get there!

Yes, I am going to Alethea’s workshop and can’t wait! I have a feeling it will be a little out of my league, but she’s one of the first people I saw on youtube and really inspired me.

As for the videos – I was feeling good this morning and taped myself, just to see what it looked like. Yikes! But we’re all works in progress, I suppose.
