Yay, Roxy! Well, it sounds like gimp poling will not be a good idea for me, but I'm sure I could roll around in my brace while you do. Ooooh, sexy! lmao

Wow – thank you so much to both of you. I really hope this is my only one – I don't want to do it again! I think I'm just going to do my best to be patient and heal over time. And Dazy, I will definitely look out for my dog – she is full of energy and has knocked my knee out before just playing with her. I will wear my brace to make sure it's protected. 🙂

I am trying to take pictures of some of the wild things my knee will do – I've gotten so used to it being a good party trick! It's served me well and I'm excited for it to get better. Good luck to both of you.

This is a great thread! Veena, forearm grip has been a tough one for me – so hearing that taller dancers prefer it makes sense! I don't know if my little alligator arms have enough stability for me in this move. 🙂

Hi Sam I am – thanks for your message! It goes up to 9 ft – my ceilings are 9 on the dot. Make sure you measure perfectly – if it's any higher than that you would need to get more extensions. Let me know if you want to move forward – I am sure your family would be happy to hold it! Or maybe I can sweet talk my hubby into a long weekend in Charleston. 🙂 My old pole would love a new home!

It does spin…its super easy to switch between static and spin!

I really wished the IUD worked out for me – I wanted to go off of hormonal birth control a couple of years ago, and got a Paragard (the copper one). The insertion was awful, but I was prepared for that from what I had heard. My periods were so heavy that I had to take iron pills during that time – which unfortunately lasted about 10-12 days per month. I kept waiting for it to get better and shorten, and eventually I just threw in the towel and went back on the hormones. My doctor offered Mirena as an option, but my insurance didn't cover IUDs at all (which is crazy) and I didn't want to risk paying for another one if it didn't work out. Plus another insertion – no thanks! 🙂

I tried NuvaRing a few years ago and was excited about it – several friends and family members use it and love it! Unfortunately for me, hormonally it wasn't a match. I didn't gain weight, but I did go off the deep end! I was either screaming at someone or bawling (neither are normal for me!) – and then it occurred to me that the NuvaRing might be why. Within a day of taking it out I was back to normal and ended up on the patch, which did not make me crazy. The only downside to the patch was finding a good place to put it where it didn't hang out of my pole dancing clothes. 🙂

Everyone is different, so it's worth a try! I love the idea of not having to worry about it for a few weeks or remember to take a pill.

THank you so much for all the replies…glad I am not crazy or the only one! I am going to take a little break and see. 🙂

I loved your Three Libras piece – that's one of my favorite songs too and you could really tell you were feeling it. You move beautifully – keep it up!

@ GatorGirl4Life – Thank you for clearing that up! I did not know the rules had changed – I am glad to hear they will be adding more competitions to accommodate everyone, with such an amazing list of pros. In any case, CONGRATS on Nationals – your video was beautiful!

I'm not sure what is going on either? Because Rebecca Starr is guaranteed a spot as this year's East Coast Champion, and she's not on there – so there are definitely people missing. They also said that there would be 8 amateurs and there are fewer than that….they sure are dragging out the suspense! Hurry hurry! 🙂
