Try out some grip aids, here’s a nice handy list of some…
Mighty Grip – a powder which is activated by heat
Gorilla Gold – a sticky towel
Surgrip – the wonderful "mythical" stuff, they’ve stopped making it now https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
Dry Hands – I love this stuff
Eco ball – a chalk ball
Liquid chalk
Stickum – a spray or a paste
Itac – level 2 is recommended for pole dancingIt’s best not to get reliant on these grip aids, but they are wonderful for learning new moves, especially if you’re anything like me. As soon as I try anything new I get really sweaty hands

Yeah, the winter is horrible for poling, cold poles slip so badly. I have been known to (after cleaning my pole with vodka) get a nice hot, hot water bottle and rub it up and down the pole, grips it up a treat.
I love Dry Hands grip, but of course you shouldn’t get over-reliant on it

I love it though, just wish I had a nice tall pole to do it on.
I agree though. There is a degree of responsibility involved in posting online tutorials and the person doing the tutorial needs to state the risks involved and what level it is. I’ve known of beginners watching videos on youtube thinking they should be inverting in their first lesson.

Pole-twista, I call your reverse aysha a split v. It’s a fairly good move and easy to go into marksman if the entire lower forearm is braced against the pole. I found that the easiest way to get into brass monkey because I found the grip easy to balance. I can straight edge but it hurts my supporting wrist so I don’t tend to do it. For trying out brass monkey safely, try from a handstand on the floor. Make sure the handstand is slightly to the side of the pole, hook the leg (make sure the pole is right into the back of the knee) and if you like, cross the free leg over the one hooked on the pole to secure it. Then bend your arms to lower your weight. It’s a good way to get the feel of the move while still being low.
Taylor, I love my camera, it’s a Canon Ixus 860. It’s currently a bit poorly though as odd lines have appeared on the screen

Death lay? Seriously? If I ever considered learning that I’d want an instructor right there in the room with me, not on video. It’s one of those moves if it goes wrong, it’ll go spectacularly wrong. Scary, scary move

I’ve been working on one myself, but it’s a big task. The closest thing we have at the moment is on the PoleJunkies forum, there’s also a good one on the Vibe forum

How long have you been doing pole for?
Joel is right, it’s best not to overdo it, I know there are times when it feels like you should be on the pole every single waking moment in order to get better, but if poling is hurting too much it is always best to have a break.

You basically end up upside down with your body to one side of the pole and hook with your inside leg. Here’s a vid of the transition, though it’s not the best angle

There are tons of other ways to get into it, straight edge, jacknife, shoulder mount, flag invert. It can also be done from a basic invert but looks very messy and can be actually slightly more difficult than from some of the other moves because of the amount of adjusting that has to be done.
Edit: That’s a slightly better angle, and I go into Eros at the end, but I am wearing cheaty boots

Hehe, so true. I love the fact it’s a little bit naughty *hugs pvc boots*

I’m loving a funky spin combo I call "there and back again" which is carousel into reverse grab back into carousel. I also adore one handed carousel into reverse grab, it flows so nicely.
Moves combos would have to be marksman into brass monkey, it’s not a pretty one but it’s pretty much the only way I can solidly get into a brass monkey 100% of the time

Looking good lady https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I’m impressed that you can keep going for 7 minutes filming, I can barely last thirty second, hehe
