Azriel, I love the photo of your plank, but I can’t seem to copy and paste it. Is there any chance it’s on photobucket or something similar and you can pm me the link so I can try to copy it from there?
Also anyone else got any more pics?

Thank you so much Rouge! That’s a big help.
One question though, your Fallen Angel, is that with inside leg hooked or outside? (I use a different naming convention with the whole gemini scorpio thing so I thought it best to clarify) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Like I said in my earlier post, I have been working on one and I am currently looking for photos of the moves. So please if you have any photos of pole moves could you contact me and I would love to use the photos in the catalogue

The problem with the crossed knee would be arms getting in the way. I would say it’d be extremely difficult to try and get that grip from an iguana.
Hooking your foot round the other side of the pole, then the second foot around that to strengthen the grip should work, especially if you do as I did in my vid and keep one hand underneath you for extra support and a bit of confidence

Oooh, missed this thread. Happy belated birthday

On what planet does this video suck?
That was lovely, you’re very fluid with the dance transitions and your spins are top notch. Your superman spin is the best I’ve ever seen! I demand more vids https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I don’t know if it’s just the way you’ve wrote it, but I just thought I’d clarify that it’s not your bottom shin thats against the pole. It’s more the (inside) side of the bottom leg which is (and thats a little more protected by muscle than your shin bone).
You’re probably not doing it with the shin bone against the pole it’s just the way I read it and thought I’d clarify.
Yes this is one that hurts, there’s no getting away from it, but it hurts slightly less with the "sweet spot" on the pole and with your hips pushed forward. Also try not to hammer this in a session. I personally can have 3 attempts at it and then I have to leave it for another session (I did get it before Xmas but with such a long break off the pole I’ll have probably lost it again, meh)

Congrats to you both!
Glad I could be of help Azriel

My resloutions are going to start after my exams hopefully
1) Get on the sodding pole (I’ve only been on it once – very briefly this year so far)
2) Get flexible – this will involve stretching every day, and I can’t say I’m looking forward to it, hehe
3) Perfect the "Lola Mount"
4) Get the Stag wih hands off
5) Improve on those moves that I don’t particularly like doing
6) Not a pole related one – Try and get on a circus skills workshop -
Ah don’t worry, the snap and spin isn’t simple! I always need a mat when I do it as mine seems to go "thud" on the ground. Also I do it further from the pole – I did have a vid somewhere but goodness knows what I’ve done with it!
Yay, hope you do find a solution to your posting problem.

Pole-twista do you mean the Snap and Spin? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Pcgz2oN8kl4
Sacha, taa hon. I just get into a basic invert, and bring my chest round the the front of the pole and put my legs into the scorpio position

As a prep for it, try doing a normal butterfly, but then straighten your leg so that the side of your knee is still against the pole but the rest of the leg is away from the pole. That’s a good one to practice balance.
Can you try to post a vid as we’ll be able to see a bit better what you need to do to perfect it?

Check your computer first. My lovely laptop came with Windows Movie Maker, which is a good video editing program. Also failing all else, Photobucket has the ability to edit videos once they are uploaded.
