I have two pairs of Ellie shoes that I really like. If you are like me and dance on carpet, then put some packing tape on the soles of the shoes. It will help you glide on the carpet and will significantly reduce tripping. There is nothing less sexy than tripping on your carpet while performing. HaHa!

Thighs, why must you burn so badly? Why, why, why? -
Hey folks! Is anyone else noticing that videos and lessons are taking a while to load and they’re buffering a lot and freezing? I am noticing this on my iPhone and also my laptop. Maybe it’s just a system glitch?

When I come down to the ground, I spin myself in the other direction a little bit. Even if it's just a couple of pole-swoops in the opposite direction of what I was just spinning. It makes a big difference and it helps to balance out the inner-ear fluid. Good luck! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I agree with Runemist34…Jamilla is amazing. I have volumes 1, 2 and 3 and I love them. Very helpful for home polers. Good luck!

I love this discussion! Yes, it takes time. I have been weight training for the past 5 years and I still struggle at times with the strength factor (I've been poling for the past 2 months). The days when I nail a new move are the best! But the days when I feel stagnant are not the best (I don't believe in "good" and "bad" days in life…some days are just better than others!). If you are stuck on learning a new spin or a new move, then just move onto something else and give it a shot a few days later. It might click at that point. One thing to keep in mind is to be careful to not injure yourself. There are moves that I see other people do that are absolutely amazing, but I already know that I am not even going to attempt them due to potential injury. Poling is a personal journey and there is no law that says that you have to check off of a list and master every move. Do what feels comfortable and what feels right to you, and everything else will flow and flow and flow! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
