I recieved my XPert in February.

Since then, I have not had it up. This is purely because I used the 125mm with the old version of the X-Pole and so I ordered the standard set and didn’t purchase any additional extensions. I went to assemble the pole with my boyfriend and the 125mm didn’t fit – the pole was too tall – even with the adjustor rod closed.

I was then told I could try a 100mm which is 4" and the 125mm is 5". X-pole suggested that the 100mm would suit me ok and if I had any problems to contact them straight away.

Unfortunately, I did have a problem. the 100mm extension (the smallest extension they do) is now not available to buy at the moment, due to a fault I found with it. Basically, the top adaptor would not fit all the way into the 100mm extension while the 100mm was attached to the 180mm X-Joint. The solution to why this was doing this is still unknown but hopefully X-Pole will come up with a solution to get the 100mm to work. (i’m hoping they don’t scrap the 100mm)

Overall, I haven’t used my pole yet but it seems a great pole. I”m not sure if i prefer the old version of the xpole.

I am not going to use my pole until im sure wether i want to keep the XPert.

but don’t let any reviews put you off, if you want it you buy it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
All XPole products are fantastic and the customer service is excellent!

LOL…hopefully! I’m not expecting one soon though…since this is a real design problem and doesn’t seem to be easily corrected it may be a while as I would think they need to re-design something somewhere.

Yeah it has to be. I was thinking that. I will have to put up with it until it is sorted …. hopefully lol. the pins on the 180MM xjoint might need moving up or down abit more i don’t know. I just hope they come up with something soon.

I heard from them yesterday and XPole US tested it out themselves at their end and agree…the top adjustor does not fit in the top end of the 100mm extension.

They are awaiting a response/solution from Vertical Leisure about the resolution.

Thank you so much for posting their reply, Empyrean, means alot. I really hope they get it sorted soon. Will they be getting back to you with a reply?

Well after being in contact with XPole UK yesterday, I was told that there was nothing wrong with the 180mm X-Joint and that the joint is in full working order as I sent it to the office to be checked. They informed me that it could be the 100mm extension.

I am going to send the extension back and maybe order another. We will see what XPole US decide. Maybe the 100mm just doesn’t fit at all.

Thank you Mary, I appreciate you’re help! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I will let you know how I get on…

The large arrow etched on the 180mm X-Joint, do you have that pointing up towards the ceiling?

yep https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif i just dont understand it. the top adapter unit will not go fully into the extension. the xjpoint is stopping it.

did this happen with your 100mm? does the top adjuster unit fit all the way in on the extension?

Now that I’ve re-read this part, if you are talking about the adaptor that fits into the very top of the pole to insert into the dome…then I think you need to follow the second part of the above directions and turn the 100mm extension around.

Thank you for the quick reply https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

    the 100mm extension is on the end where the hex screw is slightly off centered (the end where the arrow is pointing). This is how it looks;

Hi Louis…so your ceiling is lower than 8 feet?

Anyway…if your pole CAN fit with the 125 and you can get the pole in place with the dome remaining flush against the ceiling (so that that one edge of the dome is not stuck higher than the other) then I would try to set it up this way.
    !

I have recieved and tried the 100mm. the top adjuster unit wouldn’t go all the way in the 100mm extension, it stopped half way. I cannot understand this as the top adjuster unit went in all the way on the 125mm extension so it shouldnt be any different. I have emailed xpole and sent them pictures and they say that they will get there techincal technichians to check it out to see what has happened. it has to be the xjoint. I did use the correct one – 180mm aswell.

did this happen with your 100mm? does the top adjuster unit fit all the way in on the extension?

Louisax…I am fairly certain Xpole will not swap a 100 for a 125. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I don’t have a picture of it but it’s honestly just like the 125 but a bit smaller. You could see a pic on their website but to give you an idea, the 125 mm is about 4.92 inches. A 100mm is 3.94 inches.

So I would think this would be just right if the 125mm put it right up to the ceiling but just a bit too tight for your comfort. This gives you nearly an extra inch of clearance.

I have ordered the 100mm should be here soon! hope it works lol!

Skittles, what exactly is intimidating you? I’ll try to break it down for you if you want. I know reading the instructions can be a bit intimidating, but once everything is clarified, it’s easy to put together or take apart.

The XPert video is brilliant! So clear and easy to understand. You’re like me lol with instructions, I prefer to see it rather than just read it without any video. I was abit baffled when i heard there was to be no dvd with it. I thought oh god im going to have a right job putting this together without a dvd, but it was actually surprising how easy the XJoints have made assembly easier and quicker to put the pole up.

Hi DustyFox…you can fit a 7 foot ceiling (or any ceiling as short at 6.5 feet) by purchasing a 750 mm extension. You would replace the Main B section (which is 1000mm) with the 750 and just use that and Main A section.

If you like, instead you can purchase a 500mm extension (which is cheaper) and add your 250m to it. This way you have some flexibility if you ever want a pole slightly higher than 9 feet as a 500mm will take you up to 10.5 feet.

    Hi Empyrean https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I tried the 125mm again tonight and the same thing happend. We tried letting the ceiling give like you said but it would not budge and i didn’t want to force it. So would a 100mm fit? and do you think XPole would swap a 100mm for a 125mm? Do you have a picture of a 100mm? and what inch is the 100mm? I really hope a 100mm fits because if it doesnt i won’t be able to use my xpert https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif because too much of the adjuster rod is out and the pole is not stable.

    please help https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

    right lol,

when assenbling the pole, the 125mm went in and then i put the dome on and it was way too close to the ceiling, one side of the dome was already touching the ceiling and the adjuster rod wasnt unwound yet. so i took the extension out and used the 2 main pieces and unwound the adjuster and the rod was out mire than 5"(125mm).

when i had the old version, the 125mm fitted perfect so the rod was only unwound a little bit (a bit showing) so i didnt need the adjuster cover. now im thinking do i need to wind the adjuster rod nearly fully back into the pole to fit the 125mm on then wind back up again? (as with the old version like i said, only abit of the adjuster rod needed to be out for it to be tight).

    Hi,

you don’t have to use the foam cover. If your adjuster rod is out nearly 4" or more then i would use the foam cover.
the xpole sport adjuster rod can be used as a bottom loading pole or a top loading – like the old style. the adjuster rod is the same as the old version – meaning you insert the tighten/release rod through the hole in the adjuster, whereas with the XPert (which i have) is thicker and has three flat sections and the adjuster cover is not foam it is screw on so its smooth pole from top to bottom.

I did have the old version of the xpole and used a 125mm extension, so only a little bit of my adjuster rod was showing so i didnt use my adjuster cover because of this and plus the adjuster cover then was just used for decorative purposes.

If you very rarely use spin (like me at the mo) then you might be best getting the sport to save money. Unless you are looking to use spin in the future (which is why i decided to get the xpert). I was in exactly your shoes before i got my xpert. i thought id eventually use spin when im better. so i got it because its always an option if ever i wanted it.

    hope i helped https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
