I know what you mean about the flats, they told me that iver the phone and that was all okay so it’s not that I don’t think. I’m about to take it down to i’ll try get a pic before I do, and put it up later on https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Yaaaay! great, can’t wait to see pic! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif -
thanks for that do you mean when you put the A pole onto the base shaft? or do you mean the static / spinning screws should be tightened up really tight?
To be honest, i’m not sure exactly how to say it, but it’s not involving the the spinning/static screws as it moved even though they were totally tight. It’s between the A pole and the base bit, yeah. I can try post a pic if you want, but you probably know what i mean, or at least you will! So if you make sure its really tight before you put it up, will save you having to do it again https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif You probably would have known that anyway, but i’m totally new to poles so I didn’t https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
i think i know which part you mean, the adjuster rod? .. or when you put the A pole on the base it has to be placed on the two ‘Flats’ on the base. When i say ‘flats’ I mean the two flat parts of metal on the base shaft where when in static – the two spinning/insert screws are on these two flat sections in order to keep the pole static. If you could post a pic, that would be great https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I have the instruction manual for the xpert so i keep reading it just to make sure I am familiar with x pert parts when assembling it. Im going to get use to the XJoints before putting it up so I am completely sure on what Im doing lol. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

(When you get it make sure the joint/screwy bit just obove the spinny screws is screwed on properly. When i span anticlockwise, my pole spun a bit (in static mode). Apparently it’s because this bit wasn’t tight enough, something that should be done when its being packaged, but isn’t.)
thanks for that https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif do you mean when you put the A pole onto the base shaft? or do you mean the static / spinning screws should be tightened up really tight?

how did you know if the pole was really straight and flat on the ceiling? thx for the photos! x

So I got my conversion kit yesterday. Mine came with no instructions, so I had to e-mail Kimara at X-Pole US to find out how to get started. Then it took about an hour of twisting and unscrewing and rescrewing and hoping I wasn’t doing permanent damage to my pole to get it up. The upgrade section replaces Main Pole A and (depending on your model X-Pole) the little spinny base section. You also no longer need the large spanner (wrench) in the tool case either. The upgrade goes directly onto the main base and attaches just like the old piece. The screws on the bottom are still how you change between static and spin mode too. Main Pole B then screws on top of the upgrade section. Any extensions then go on top of that. There’s now a little adapter piece with a peg that fits into the upper dome that screws on top of the extension. The dome goes on that. Now, in order to adjust the height and snug the pole to the ceiling, there’s an adjuster cover near the bottom of the upgrade section that screws into place. That gets unscrewed and then there are three screws on the pole that you loosen with the hex key. This allows the pole to screw to adjust. Once the dome is flat and the pole secure, turn the pole so that the three screws line up with the flat spots on the adjuster and tighten them down. This keeps the pole from unscrewing while dancing on it. Then slide up the adjuster cover, screw into place and start dancing. Now that I know where everything is and what goes where, I imagine next time set-up will go much easier. One thing I noticed was to be very sure that the dome is flat and tight against the ceiling. It’s harder to tell now that it’s no longer eye-level. Also, I still needed a step-stool to put the extension on top, but the little kitchen one was quite high enough, so no need to dig out the ladder.
Thanks for the description! Is there any way you can post some pictures? I am having a hard time visualizing all of this! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

I had my 50mm for a year before i bought a 45mm, & i notice a HUGE difference. After playing on my 45 for a while, my 50 seems so hard to grip, even though i’ve had it for a year! So i can imnagine how hard it must be for you, having to switch from 45 to 50. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
But really, it’s all a matter of what you get used to.. keep practicing on it no matter how hard it is at first. And your grip will get even stronger than it did with the 45! I have small hands too, & before i got my 45, i was totally fine with the 50. But if you see that it’s still straining you after a while, can you sell the 50 & buy another 45?
i just love the 45mm grip, iv just found a spare part from my 45mm and i love how snug my hand fits around it. and my hand doesnt go fully around a 50mm. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif the bfs gonna kill me lol as iv only really just bought this 50mm and i sold my 45mm on his ebay account and hes gonnaa go mad lol – its like im going in circles. one min i want to sell my 45mm then i want a 50mm and now my 45mm has sold i hear people loving the 45mm more than the 50mm, i miss it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif and i do have better grip on a 45mm. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Make sure they’re really tight, but don’t strip them…if that doesn’t work then call X pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileright.gif
Il have another spin next time Im on it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Thanks Veena, you’re a star! x

I know what you’re talking about it moves just a little bit. I figured out one day that I have to tighten it a little bit harder on both sides and it doesn’t move at all now. But I do notice that it starts to loosen back up like it was after I use it for a while. I don’t want to tighten it too too much because I don’t want to ruin it. I think I’m going to call X pole and ask them about this to see if it’s normal.

Make sure you have lined up the Xs on the base of the pole with your little screw holes. Tighten well. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
IT still does it abit after iv done a few moves. whats up with it? the pole is vertical too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
