Mine isn’t red or swollen but when I noticed the pain didn’t go away in a week, I knew it wasn’t just muscle pain. It happened prior to starting the Veena challenge though but I was being stubborn and started it despite the pain. Now I really have to stop and get elbow brace for awhile. I stopped at day 15 which is a couple days ago. I really hate having to stop half way but I need that. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon!

The pain you’re experiencing could be tendinitis. It’s caused by lifting extreme weight beyond your ability therefore you’re damaging the tendons, at least that’s what my doctor told me. I’m suffering from it right now and my doctor told me to rest for a couple of weeks. It’s actually in my right arm and I can feel the pain around the forearm and elbow area. It’s sucks because I’m doing so well in doing Veena’s 30 day take off and abs challenge, and now I have to rest my arm. You may need to get it checked out and make sure it’s nothing serious. Again, I wouldn’t do anything too crazy as a beginner. Take your time and enjoy your pole journey… 😊

I’m doing both the 30 day abs and 30 day take-off. Today is day 8 and I can feel the difference in my abs and my strength. I really need this after taking a 4 month off pole. Thanks, Veena!

Hey Mejones, just wondering, does the pole come with installation instructions? With Xpole, the instruction vid is available on YouTube. My ceiling height is 9 ft but with carpet it compresses about an inch so I had to get the 500mm extension. Their customer service was excellent too. Anyway, maybe you can Google it and see if it comes up with anything. Sorry, I can’t be much of help here. Good luck, girl!

@WebJunk, where did you get that awesome crash mat? I don’t have pole at home now but we’ll be moving to Albuquerque area in Aug and would love to have it at home.

@Runemist34: I need to work on that breathing. I got into panic attack and all grips seemed to get loose which didn’t help at all.

@ chemgoddes1: my instructor doesn’t really teach us any escape moves so I just try not to let go any of my grips in any situation. I wish there’s an instructional videos or something for that.

    Thanks all for the advice!

@luvlee: I’ll be in Dayton (Wright-Patt) in Aug before I go to the Expo. Is there any studio close to the base? I’m thinking I should take classes while I’m there 😀

I'm thinking of going but can't stay until Sunday though.  Bummer.  I've made my room reservation but haven't purchased the pass yet.  So, which one is Veena's class?  I wanna take her class!  I'll be flying in from PA and leaving in Saturday.  Look forward to meet you ladies! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Thanks, Megan. It helps to know what's going on. My next pole practice is in 4 days and the class is the next day. I just hope I won't overwork my poor footsie.

I was just looking at your videos of different climbs and I'll try the performance climb next time.  It looks something that I feel more comfortable with.  I hope it's healed by my next lesson.  Thanks again, Veena!
