How about just plain pink as a theme?  Yu can dance wearing pink, with pink shoes etc, or you can dance TO Pink, or both…

I have not found it high maintenance whatsoever, Joyful.  Once I wiped the factory finish off it, it has been fantastic and I have not had to do a thing to it.  I can also go through practice sessions where I don't have to use any grip at all now, which is wonderful, and even less maintenance!!

I have trained myself not to actually look at 'myself' when I watch video.  I look instead at my form.  How a trick or move is executed, how it flows, whether I am in position for it etc, because I know that if I allow myself to look at 'me' I will go into a spiral of depression because I am not pretty enough, toned enough, the list goes on.  I just don't look at those things.  Same thing when I watch myself in the mirror when I am poling.  I am not watching myself, I am watching my form.

We are in Australia and have cable Internet, but I think that maybe it is a congestion thing because at off peak times it is inclines to work better. I connect via wifi on the phone so it makes sense that that would be effected the same way as the laptop.

Hank you, I think it is too tight so now I have to wait for my super safety conscious partner to get home to intighten it because in his over enthusiastic safety measures he has mead it so tight that I can’t unscrew it, lol!

It doesn't spin as fast as I am used to.  There is no jerky feeling while I am spinning, it just goes around a little slower, but I could be subconsciously butting less momentum into ip, because when I leant back into a backward hook, or stood up and pulled in on the fireman, it sped up considerably.

I had done some stretch exercises before in a Stretch and Flex class, and when I got the Valentino bros dvd I found it to be well within my reach.  Sure, I am nowhere near as bendy as they are and cannot hope at this time to replicate the way they look when they stretch, but I can still do the exercises and they are a tremendous help in my bendy quest.

I have not tried with the ipad yet, but on my iphone and macbookpro, the lessons and videos from this site are stilted.  They sometimes don't work at all, and at best are stopping and starting in playback.  It is highly frustrating and very disappointing to say the least.

Oh, I am such a sucker for the 'new' you can count me in on buying that one when it comes out, Peter!

I useI use Tite Grip about half an hour before and then Itac2 level 3.  If after a while it becomes slippery I put a little Mighty Grip on top and it's good to go, but that is unusual unless it is very hot weather and I am super sweaty.

With underwear. Always. I have seen too many labia poking out watching other students dance to forgo modesty and leave the underwear off!

I have used both and I agree with everyone else that there is better grip on a brass. The brass turns my hands black, or rather the grip product on my hands black, but it is a small price for the extra grip in my opinion. My studio replaced tg with brass.

If you are looking to get the same as the studio though, Shellectra, they have Pussycat poles.

Yes, and yes!  Just clean it with acetone or the like when you first put it up to remove the factiry finish and you will stick to it like a fly to a wall, hehe…

My teacher always said you need to do a level twice. Once to learn the tricks and once to get them right. It takes some people more than this of course, but I think she has a point. Even when you know a trick there is always something new you can learn about it, especially in the early days.
