I personally love brass…altho that is all I know…lol..I did try the chrome xpole and twisted the crap out of the skin on the inside of my arm trying to spin..I don’t know if I overcompansated my grip, but my skin never burned like that on brass, even when I first started dancing..it was like I had a pole burn that is now a bruise..I did bruise that day,but did have a red looking burn as well..let me know how u like it..as well as the cover on the bottom..I do slide a lot all the way down to transition into floorwork and was wondering if that was going to get in the way of my hands sliding..

Oh..I am excited for you…I just measured my ceilings…same in the garage and bedroom and 6″ higher on the one level in bedroom, but I don’t think I will need to use that level..plus the pole has 6″ of adjustment….so I may be able to get the one piece..which is awesome cause I want real brass and its a good price..

Well I just measured my garage..8’6″ and my bedroom is 8’6″ and 9′,I have a tray ceiling…and the one piece has 6 inches of extension….winner, winner, chicken dinner..I just went back in and pretended to spin with legs extended, not that I plan on doing many tricks, just not the room to do it..it just may work ceiling as far as the ceiling goes….it certainly would save me $100 to get the one piece…

@ pegasusaerialfitness..thanks..I think I am going to wind up going with PS brass..just haven’t decided on a one piece or multi…I want a one piece just because it just makes me feel safer, but I like the idea of being able to move it to my room where the ceilings are higher..I do have to measure,to see if I may be able to get away with a one piece,I don’t have the room in the bedroom for a lot ot aerial tricks,so I have to really measure and look…plus the one piece is cheaper and I want to buy a ceiling mount..what poles do you own?

@ tarah, ? Is the cover on the bottom of the pole smooth? I mean, do your legs/hands glide over it or do you have to stop ur move before the cover? I am looking @ this pole and was wondering if that gets in the way ..I wanted a one piece for the flow of the pole and didn’t know if that affected it any…I tend to slide all the way down and use the bottom with my hands for floor work and want the transition to look good and not get stuck above the cover..lol..not too sexy…

Both..you can switch between ss and brass and diameter with the ceiling mount…which is awesome…

I have looked @ lil mynx too..I am going to try the poles that I think(gonna talk to the owner to make sure of the brand cause I heard that they may not be x pole TG),you would think employees would know what kind of poles they are working with..she did say a few things that didn’t make sense..and go try a brass pole again and x-pole chrome as well…it will be a few weeks before I order, bummer, but I want to make the right choice…it is pretty much between x-pole TG and PS brass…plus I want a ceiling mount and those 2 companies have good mounts

I want a 50mm stationary..I talked with Pole Danzer this morning…I just wish the pole didn’t have the platform..I looked @ action, they are more expensive and shipping is more, but if it is what I want..I can’t pull up the other site…and I heard bad things abt platinum stages customer service..altho I have talked with them, and have to say, they are pretty nice there..I do want a pole that I can mount to the ceiling but remove it…I just feel safer..the whole tension thing scares me,no matter how many people say it is safe..

I don’t believe I have an allergy…just bruising…I have bruising on my legs as well, which I have gooten before when I first started pole dancing and when I stopped and went back..just never had pinched my skin like that on my arm..I didn’t glide the way I did on tha brass..that is why is weird to hear that brass is grippier..maybe I am just used to brass..I just can’t wait to find a pole and have one @ home..getting anxious and jealous of everyone on here..lol

its weird because I never found brass being grippy..I mean, it was when I needed it to be,but was able to spin and manuever great on it..my arm is so bruised from the chrome pole..I don’t know if I was overcompisating my holds, but a few times my skin was getting pinched and I vever had that happen on brass..it is just weird how different people react to differnt poles..but yes I am very glad I get to try it before I spend the money..hopefully it will work,if not, back to square one..
