How do you ladies know the names of all these tricks and how can I learn them?! Is there some sort of database that includes names and pics/vids of tricks? I’ve been poling for over a year, but for whatever reason, my classes never focused on names of tricks.

My husband just got stationed in RURAL Germany, so I’m out here in the middle of nowhere, with no pole studio within 2 hours and I would LOVE to have a one-stop go-to site for learning new tricks (and their names, lol!)

Thanks a million for any advice, I’m sick of calling my moves something like, ‘twisted-grip-upside-down-leg-splits-thingy’!

    Xoxox, Mathea

I just got my Group Fitness Instructor certification through AFAA (American Fitness and Aerobics Association – AFAA.com) they are a US based company, but they offer courses world wide, I just took mine at a military base in Germany. Maybe it’s possible they offer something in Canada? It’s a bit pricey but this is the course I was recommended by half a dozen of my previous instructors.

That’s so kind of you, thank you! My budget was already stretched a bit with the cost of the workshop, so I suppose I’m looking for a pretty inexpensive room. Even a hostel or dorm situation would be fine with me 🙂

Awesome! I’m baaaarely at an intermediate level, so I’m hoping I won’t be totally lost in this workshop, but there’s so much to learn from Alethea, I thought I might a well just jump in! As of right now, I think I’m going to take the train in on the 24th and back on the 26th, but I actually haven’t decided where to stay yet, haha I guess I should figure that out! Any help with directions to the studio would be amazing – I hear Paris isn’t the easiest city to find your way in!

Hey! I am enrolled in her Hot Tricks workshop on the 25th. I think it’s right after the Sexy Floor workshop. Do you live in the area? I’m taking a train in from Germany.

I am also American (presuming you are) and I live in west Germany with my own pole. There are no studios within an hour of me, unfortunately. But there are studios in Berlin, Luxembourg, Munich, Essen, Heidelberg, an many more! PS. Alethea Austin is also touring Europe right now. Check out her website for info: aletheaaustin.com . Happy poling
