I got these AMAZINGLY LONG and WARM leg warmer (they go all the way up to my crotch…)…everybody in my studio ask me where I got them…and it’s from a “children” dance clothing site (they do have some adults and this is one of them).

I love my compact Rumble Roller (black) and my full size Grid Roller…bit I think Rubz ball are still my favorite. I literally carry one with me wherever I go!!
I never tried tennis balls because they seems too soft…maybe I’ll give that a shot on my less stubborn muscles.

They immediately shut up =)
If I’m a more advanced poler…I would do a cartwheel…and if I had shorts on…probably jade (but then, my splits are REALLY sad looking…haha)

oOOoO…I’d like to know the difference between the new powder coated xpert vs Veena Lil Mynx pole!!

I second on menstrual cup!! I LOVE my Mooncup!! Now I don’t even thinking twice about my period.
My cat got a fetish with my cup…he destroyed THREE already…but, id been keep on buying new one to replace the one my cat damaged even though they can get pricy. (Normally a cup can last you 4-5 years…I just got a weird cat.,,he even learned to open my drawer THEN open the box where I keep my menstrual cup…creepy huh??)
I will never pole during my period if I don’t have my cup…
Give it a go…you’ll love it~~

@ Verticali – Thanks~~ the workshop I went to last was also limited amount of people, I even called in advance to make sure it’s for all level and not just advance only. But the “name-not-mention” only gave attention to those 3-4 advance students. Well, I guess at the end it just depends on the instructor.
I’m definitely not ready for advance signature move~~ But if the workshop said they are for intermediate or all level…I just hope that will be the case. I just don’t want to waste my time or money and take a class when I’m not ready for it~
Thanks again~

@ shoogstandley – The chiropractor that I went to was highly recommended by a friend too..she said she had 2 car accidents and this lady fixed her back within 5-6 visits using CST.
I guess at the end it really varies from person to person…What I learned is…if the first 2 sessions feel “off” (no improvement, got worse or the chiro make excuse like “your body is just adjusting to it”) BAIL immediately…
What I found was physical therapy helped me heal correctly and how to workout safely while pole is helping me strengthen my back and core and maintain it that way. The physical therapist made sure I’m doing all the right exercise to strengthen my back muscle first so I won’t hurt myself, when my back got strong enough, I start my regular pole work.
If the CST is not working out…try physical therapy. Again, depends on the doctor and your body too…

I have. Did 14 sessions of cranial-sacral therapy after I got into a car accident where I was rear-ended when my car was at a complete stop. The chiropractor said I should be back to normal after 6-8 sessions…but nope. Not only that…my condition got worse…much worse. From minor ache on lower back to “I-can’t-get-out-of-bed” pain.
Several times I wanted to end the session entirely…but the chiropractor talked me into sticking with it and that I will see good results…that this is a “recovery period” and your body will take time to adjust…blah blah blah…a decision that I totally regret.
My primary care doctor said chiropractor really irritated my back with cranial-sacral therapy, she end up giving me muscle relaxing medication for 2 months so my back will have time to heal then she send me off to physical therapy.
I was sooooo upset at the chiropractor …I was doing SO WELL on the pole, I nailed tricks after tricks…and because of CST, it made my back worse…I was forced to stop poling for almost a year. After months of physical therapy…I’m finally able to pole again. I lost all my strength but at least I’m back on the pole.
Again, this was my personal experience with a particular CST chiropractor…your situation might be different.
All the Best~

Question – For those who been to Pole Expo (or Pole Con)…
Does a person’s pole skill play a major role in workshop experience?
The reason I asked is because I’ve never been to a Pole Con nor Pole Expo. My pole “level” is more intermediate according to my instructor (I still consider myself a newbie though…). I went to a “pole jam with name-not-mention” pole star last year and the experience was less than appealing.
Even though the “name-not-mention” wrote TONS of stuffs about how pole-newbies should be encouraged and how she love ya and all that jazz…An actual class with her revealed “blog vs reality”…The jam I went to was wasn’t free…and the skill level in that class vary from beginner to advance…During the entire class, “name-not-mention” only focus on the advance students and total ignore the beginners and intermediates…It’s like “Oh, you can’t do this move…then too bad” kind of attitude. Which…is sad.
Since flying out and buying pass for Pole Con is not cheap…I just want to hear some of the experience you ladies encountered…to see if it’s worth. =)
Thanks!!!

MemberApril 2, 2014 at 11:55 am in reply to: PLEASE HELP A FELLOW POLER FIND A GOOD POLE FOR A GOOD PRICE!Webby~~ I’m just sharing my experience…Like I mentioned before…ALWAYS verify with XPole USA to make sure it’s legit. For me, buying it off eBay saved me $60 worth of shipping fee (that alone was worth it)…plus my pole got a year warranty from XPole USA (which I did end up using) So I know it’s legit.
All the Best~~

MemberApril 2, 2014 at 9:26 am in reply to: PLEASE HELP A FELLOW POLER FIND A GOOD POLE FOR A GOOD PRICE!There are actually X-Pole verified sellers on eBay where you can find a real, legit X-Pole for $275 with free shipping (sometimes even lower depends on finish). But you do need to call XPole USA, give them the seller ID and the auction number and they can verify for you.
I bought mine from a verified Seller on eBay…when one of section of my pole didn’t have 100% “smooth” finish, I called XPole USA and they send me a new part right away, free shipping.
So yes, SHOP AROUND but call XPole USA to verify to make sure it’s 100% legit where they will back it up with warranty!
