I started at 200lbs, so a BMI of 34. I could hardly hold on at all, but as I lost weight my muscles were used to pole dancing at 200lbs so when I got lighter it was easier and easier. I once put on 5lbs weights on my ankles and the difference was huge, and that was only 5lbs! Right now my BMI is 27.8 so I am still almost 50lbs above where I want to be so the muscles I am building now will help tremendously when I lose all the weight. Its still hard to look in a mirror. I heard that once you have the strength if you ever lose it it comes back way faster than if you were starting from scratch.

For anyone considering the Clarisonic Mia, I used it for about 4 months, not consistently, and occasionally I noticed little red dots around my eyes and on my brow bone. I thought it was a new product I was using or something, so I would stop using that product but continued using my Mia, I never noticed that it was only after I used the mia that i got the red dots.

Well a couple weeks ago I got my pole back for the first time in a long time I poled. I only played around for about 20 minutes and only went upside down a handful of times but when I got off and looked in the mirror my face was beat red (much redder than usual) and there were tons of broken blood vessels (tiny red dots) around my eyes, and on my temples.

Going upside down can cause broken blood vessels but i barely did and I have spent much longer periods of time pole dancing. My mom said it looked like the way a pregnant womans face looks when blood vessels burst from being in labor. Now I know it was the mia causing the red dots and weakening my blood vessels which caused it to get so much worse after poling. I had never had anything like it in my life!

I stopped using the mia since that was the only thing it could be because I eliminated all the new facial products I was using already. I was only using it for half a minute once a day at night, so its not like I was over using it, and it didnt go anywhere near the skin around my eyes, so it was just the vibrations that was effecting that area. After I stopped using it and the red dots went away (I read they can be permanent, yikes!) I havent gotten any since.

So yea something to consider before dropping so much money on an item, especially since we all spend so much time upside down.

the only way to reduce back fat is to reduce your overall body fat. you reduce body fat with diet and exercise. its good you cut out bad foods, but you should also keep a food log, i recommend caloriecount.about.com

Ive read that the $3 mineral  eye shadow primer by E.L.F works just as well as urban decays eye shadow primer, i haven't tried it myself but it gets good reviews on MUA if anyone wants to try it for themselves

I bet local bars with poles would be willing to host showcases as well. I went to a pole showcase at a casino that had an 18+ area and the pole studio brought their X-Stage

Ive read that high weight and low reps is best for strength training without increasing the volume of your muscle, just look at this link http://bretcontreras.com/2011/06/where-my-ladies-at/ all those women arent bulky and they are doing high weight low rep. Im always confused by this. I want to gain strength without making my muscles any bigger

My brother cut dairy out of his diet and the fat he had around his stomach went away. If you are even mildly lactose intolerant it will cause bloating. Plus switching to almond milk will save you 80 calories per cup of milk

You could probably work in a club on dayshift or something, you could always drop by during the day and talk to their manager and see if they are hiring. At my club theres some women who are 50+, the club lighting is so dark it makes them look much younger. Im a dancer who started poling 2 years before i became one and lost alot of weight with becoming a dancer as my motivation. But these days its not like it used to be (ive heard) before like 10 years ago everyone made all their money on stage but now I dont make more than probably $15 a night from the stage even though I pole dance alot every single stage so you really got to be a sales person who can sell lap dances. If you want to, go try it! If you dont try it you might regret it someday when you arent able to anymore. You only live once right?
