Moxie, you don’t need us to tell yuo, but you are an inspiration and a huge success! Thank you for being brave enough to share on the web where your story can have such an impact on others looking for motivation!

Oh, yes that would be a problem! I earn a decdent salary and I’m not just hopping on flights to Cape Town either, chuckle! I think poledancing may be a bit left field still for dsTV, but Natasha will make a video and I’m sure she’ll put the new pics up on her website!

Nope sorry. It’s going to be in Johannesburg at the Lyric Theatre (Gold Reef City). You can look it up on Computicket, Google ‘pole’ and you’ll find it. Could be worth coming up for, Natasha is bringing Jenyne Butterfly out from the US for the event!! What an opportunity to see her live!
So, I’ve decided to do the intermediate category, it means a 3 minute routine instead of a 2 minute routine, and I’ll be doing more complex tricks. I’m hopefully going to work with Natasha this evening to choreograph what I want to do, then I’ll just have to visualise it for the 17 days that I’m away on holiday! But I’m going to stretch and do toning exercises every day to make sure I don’t lose too much form.

So, we’re only a few weeks away and I’ve made some progress. I have a good idea of the moves I want to use, I am working with my poledance instructor to put together my routine. I have my music, cut to the right length and I have some intro music to get me onto stage. I have a theme, I have some elements of my costume worked out. Phew, I can breathe a bit!
This has been such an interesting journey, I have really felt like I have grown as a dancer through this!

Hi Nitekitty!
Natasha does have a franchise in Cape Town, being run by Donata. Her details under Class Times on her website (http://www.bodymind.co.za) show that she has classes Monday to Thursday, although I don’t know where the studio is. Maybe contact Donata at poledancecapetown AT gmail.com
Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Hi there
I remember when I was a kid, my aunt used to take a supplement designed to make you less sensitive to the sun. As she’s travelling across Africa in a Land Rover right now, it’ll be a bit hard to get hold of her (!), but maybe something taken internally could help?

Awesome to be here https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
Our bandwidth in South Africa is slow, but our enthusiasm isn’t! Looking forward to learning more from everyone here, and maybe even contributing occassionally!
