I have this exact problem myself and I’m still battling it. I skip a lot of days because of work cause I only want to sleep in the morning and then when I get off work I’m too tired so I dont get anything done. So what I been trying to do is go to bed a little earlier doesnt have to be a lot but just an hour or two earlier so that way I get up a couple hours earlier so I can just get it done and over with in the morning. Its still a battle and I still skip quite a lot but on the days I do do it in the mornings I feel great and energized for the rest of the day and I just have to remember that next time I’m not motivated to get up early.

Thank you everyone, it’s so comforting to know I’m not the only one who has to start over from time to time. When I look at other polers who are so good at what they do and even professionals it makes you wonder, they must never take a break, but they more than likely do. Lol. Anyways I will definitely get back at it especially now I know I havent lost all my strength completely. I cant wait to start my pole journey again. Thanks ladies! 🙂

Also I apologized if a post like this has already been made about encouragement and tips, like I said I been sick so I havent logged on in quite awhile so I havent been checking the forums.

Hi! I’m like you I’m trying to do so much at once that I just get discouraged or frustrated lol plus I’m trying to lose weight too. But usually what I do is for a warm up I’ll do pilates or P.I.I.T which is cardio and pilates together. Blogilates on youtube has a lot of great videos. I also alternate days so like one day I’ll do ab pilates for a warm up and then leg pilates for a warm up another day and so on so that way I’m building strength off the pole too. I also really hate doing cardio LOL so I dont usually do cardio warm ups because my heart rate usually goes up pretty high just from dancing on the pole alone. Then after that I just work on some pole moves or pole strengthening exercises and finally after that I’ll do about 20 mins of stretching. But on my rest days I will stretch a little bit longer so I can get flexible faster. All this together gives me about a 45-60 min work out and I’m done. So yea technically I’m only getting progress from pole and stretching and I’m seeing slow but good progess. Hope this helps! Sorry its so long LOL 🙂

I kno this forum is old but I came across it and love ab challenges cause that’s my weak spot, it would be great if u added 30 day abs in ur lessons! 🙂
Also if I do this challenge would it help me get my invert? Thanks

Lol didn’t realize I got my tip from Veena vid herself. I knew I heard it somewhere but couldn’t remember where lol what a coincidence. But it really is a great tip and it helps me a lot.

When I get lazy which happens alot I just tell myself to just do 10 mins of pole and that’s it, that usually a simple 10 min warm up, but by the time I’ve done that 10 mins I’m pumped and want to do more. So try it, 10 mins is all it takes lol 🙂

@kristen congrats on your transformation, I hope to just get toned myself with pole, and maybe lose like 20-25lbs I don’t have much to lose. So I try to do pole for an hour at least 3-4 times a week and I sweat a lot too so I just have to be patience and see for myself lol

Thanks Veena! I will definitely follow your tips. 🙂
And yes Allison I feel you, I’m a soda and sugar addict, in fact I made that my new year resolution to cut back on sugar and soda, the soda has actually been pretty easy now that I see all the benefits water is doing to my dry skin lol! So I tend to only drink soda now once or twice a day and even then its diet now. Sugar is a little harder cause I always crave it but I hope with fruit and eating less of it that it will get easier like you said so thanks for the tips, and I’m glad you were able to quit the sugar addiction, congratz! 🙂

And I have a sweet tooth too, the cravings hit hard especially after dinner in the evenings, and it’s hard to give up/cut back sugar so now I’m trying to make sure I always have fruit in the house so in the evenings I just eat a small bowl of fruit.

Thanks for all ur advice. I dont count calories cause for me personally counting calories puts a lot of stress on me and I start to get an eating disorder so I just try to eat healthy and in moderation and that seems to work a lot better for me.
But one question to gain strength and muscles don’t u have to eat more too? I’ll cut calories to lose fat but I don’t want to lose my muscles too I need that for pole lol.
