Pole also saved my life. I was very depressed about my life. Feeling stuck in the day to day rat race and being a Mom. Same job for years taking advantage of me. And I needed an adventure. Unfortunaly I found one and had an affair on my husband. When the whole thing came crashing down I was forced to look at WHY had this happened. Really I didn’t feel sexy, happy, secure, inspired, determined….Nothing. Pole gave me all those things!! Like some of the other comments, I would say as well that I was terrible in all sports in school. I could never really get into working out in a gym or running. so thankfully I have found an amazing excersice that I am addicted to.

oooookkkkk….. I know the song… Based on prior discussions of this as a possible challenge…I DO NOT know if I can do it…. May need some wine even though pole and drinking is not a good idea…. The song is like 6 minutes so will be some floor work…. Oh Boy… There is a reason why it is called a "Challenge" and this will for sure be one for me… LOL

I don't know when thier classes are but have you checked out Michelle Mynx's studio?  If I was near St. Louis THAT's where I'd be trying to go!  Good luck!

I seen a lot of them still say TBA but I seen on the actual schedule a couple of the Thursday workshops are with Alethea… Bummer for me since I am not flying out until Friday morning.  I did go ahead and book one already since I for sure want to spend some time with one of the pros!   Hoping that I made a good choice… I'm really missing Amber this year!  The comp is not going to be the same without her!

I guess I am retarded because I still can"t find them any where on uspdf… And lst year weren't all the workshops at NY Pole dance?  I thought there was a big disaster with the body and pole ones were all cancelled due to the preformers being under contract with uspdf during that time…?  I took mine with Amber and thought they were all held at NY Pole dance….. ?

I know exactly how you feel. I moved four years ago from a really cute little starter house that my husband and I bought right after we got married. We had so many memories in there!! From bringing home our son. Then our daughter. Special moments with the kids, birthday parties, holidays…. And I really loved the house. It was great! For a while. But the truth was we had outgrown the house big time. My two kids couldn’t even fit twin beds in that one bedroom they shared. Our living room looked like Toys R Us because there was no where else to go with the toys.

Our new house is way bigger and pretty much everything we wanted. Kids have their own rooms. We have a "family room" for all the stuff and an actual adult living room. 3 bathrooms…. a big deck and pool….

But even knowing all that, walking out the door of that house was one of the hardest things I ever had to do!! I cried like crazy!! But moving has to be done. For one reason or another. And I’m sure you are just opening a new chapter in your life! Embrace it and know you will have lots of great memories ahead!! Change is definitely hard, I hate it too! But the best things in life are the ones that don’t happen easy!! Good Luck!

    Mindy,

I took Aletheas "Flexy Sexy" workshop in Illinois and it was great. Perhaps I was just in awe of the Champ… I am a huge fan of hers!!! I would say to go with that one… I’m not sure what was in the other workshop as that was the only one offered at the studio I went to. I found her streching techniques to be really helpful for my dance as well as warming up or cooling down for any type of workout. Enjoy and let me know how you liked it!
