Great thread I would like to join too:

    Fitness Goals
Do cardio min of 5 days a week for at least 30-45 mins
Do strength training min 3 days a week
Do pole work min 3 days a week
Stretch daily to increase flexibility and range of motion
    Do ab work daily
Be able to do 10 perfect pushups (standard) and 5 reverse grab pull up/chin up

    Nutrition Goals
To eat 5 small meals/snacks a day (my biggest challenge)
Increase my water intake a min of 2 liters a day
Increase my fruits and veggies. Push away from the bread and the pastas

I don’t think I will weigh myself either and just concentrate on inches and the way my clothes fit and the way my body looks. I weighed myself at the beginning of the month and I weighed 157 pounds the biggest I have ever been my normal adult weight has been 140-145 so of course I was devestated. The only consulation is that I know muscle weighs more then fat and I can see that i have gained muscle. But hell not 17 lbs of it though…lol…so that led to me getting a BMI which measures your percentage of body fat and the range for me should be 25% and mine was 28% so that was the indicator that I had gained weight and not all muscle.

So as of March 1, 2010 these are my measurements:
    Chest 36 1/2
    Waist 34 (at my navel)
    Hips 42 1/2
    Thigh 23 1/2

    Good luck to everyone.3012010bk.JPG3012010ft.JPG

Here’s a great exercise to work the part of your core that helps hold you up once you’re in the boomerang or inverted V position: lay on the ground and hold one of those big exercise balls directly overhead. Slowly lift your legs toward you in a tucked position, then spread them to a V, tilt your hips, and continue to lift your hips until your feet are by your shoulders (or ears, if you are a lucky long-legged soul, lol).

With your arms up holding the ball, you can’t use your body to swing or use momentum so it has to be your abs, and if you roll up at first in a tuck position your lower back will always retain contact with the floor….until you lift it off. So it’s also a "soft" and safe move to do for your body.

I hope my description makes sense. Can video it if it’d be helpful. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif so when you get your feet up by your shoulders or ears are you grabbing the ball with your feet/leg or continue to hold it up with your hands overhead.
I have also been working on this move and I think I’m not engaging my core enough either.

Anyone know of other tutorials on this move? I seem to always bang my back on the pole. This abruptly makes me spin around the pole. It sort of works, but I feel very out of control when I’m doing this move. Plus, it doesn’t feel good! I wish I could post a video, but alas, my camera won’t let me. HOPEFULLY I’ll be getting a new one soon.

Here is another tutorial hope it helps.

Yeah they have lucked up with you. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Don’t know if you are putting the scheduling program together yourself but I know a lot of the other studios use this company http://www.mindbodyonline.com for their scheduling needs. Not sure about pricing and things but i have been to several studios and that is how I registered for classes.

Do you have a website for your business? I may be in the market for a website myself in the near future.

My first loves were are very own Veena and Nicole Williams from Allure Dance in LA. They were the two first videos on youtube that made me say DAMN I Wanna Do That!!! There moves are so lady like but still Hawt.

Now with more exposure I am globally in love with Jenyne Butterfly, Alethea Austin, and Karol Helms. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_smurf.gif
And locally in love with Trophywife https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_smurfin.gif

But in my heart of hearts Veena will always be https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif I think because even though some of her moves and combos are hella advance it still seems attainable. Its weird cause when I look at her videos I can say to my self I could do that with practice and whatever, but when I look at some of the global loves vids am like I will never be able to do that. And I don’t know why because Veena does some of the same stuff but it looks less complicated https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif She moves so effortless and oozes muted sexiness.

Thank you guys for all the great ideas. I went on a little shopping spree and found some really good deals on over the knee socks and some foam floor squares. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I already have over the knee boots but wasn’t sure if they would stick to much so imma try them to. So I am excited to practice today with all the added support for my knees.

Thanks for that tip on opening my legs wider when pushing up from the floor. That has helped my knees and helped getting up easier and smoother. And yes Azriel floorwork in general is a beast. I never knew it took so much energy and strength to slink and crawl along the floor. Its like manual labor to be sexy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

Joel love the idea of covering my knee pads with the fur. I checked Michaels but they only had white fur in so imma check back. Thanks again everyone for responding I knew I could count on some great ideas from here. Smooches
