Hmmmm, two names kind of lets you have 2 personalities on stage… you could be Amethyst one minute and Skyy the next. That could be interesting. : )

I haven’t gotten my x-pole yet, but I wanted to clarify something. This is taken directly off the x-pole website: "Step 4 – Locate the ceiling joists. Locate the ceiling joists by tapping with a finger or using a stud/joist locator. Adjust the base position to mid point between the joists. " http://www.xpoleus.com/assembly.html

I read in another forum on this site that in the UK, you put the base, as described in the directions, between the joists, but in the US, you should put it ON the joist. Clarification anybody????????

Glitterhips – no way! I have lived in Durham too. There is nothing better than Bojangles sweet tea and their chicken supremes. Oh, and then of course there is Church’s Chicken. A friend of mine still lives there; I’ll be spending a weekend with her in April.

Back to poling… your videos are really great and inspiring. Thanks so much for posting them. I particularly liked the latest one when you were mad. Good stuff, keep it up. Hopefully I’ll be doing that some day. I think I’m going to order a pole tomorrow. I’m so anxious to get started. I did some stretches and floor work today since I couldn’t twirl around anything. ; )

I’m new as well, both to the pole and to the site. Pretty exciting stuff huh? Welcome! Maybe I’ll see you tomorrow in the Friday chat. : )

Thanks Trena – looked at the discussion and I think I’ll be getting a 50.

Yes! What a coincidence! I’m actually going to the open pole session tomorrow at the LKN location (never been to that one before). Small world huh?

Mrstrone – from the looks of your video (awesome BTW), we are training at the same studio! I’m in Charlotte too. Sweet!

    Cheers.

My husband makes the BEST BBQ!!! Cheers to the Bible Belt! LOL!

Do you guys recommend a 45 or 50 pole? I’m thinking my class uses 50’s; maybe I should stick with that??
