OMG that superman trick hurts like hell!! I think I need to wait and get a bit more stronger before playing with that trick. As for your lump, I’m not sure what it could be. I know there are a lot of lymph nodes in that area of your body.. wonders if one got really irritated..? How is it now?

I have dry skin and I’m always needing to wear moisturizer. I’ve tried brass poles and I prefer them more because they are more grippier. I have a Chrome Xpole and I need to use some sort of grip aid otherwise I cannot do anything on it.

I heard this on the radio that morning! I love the Dean Blundell show. They are a bunch of womanizing sexist jerks some times but I love them!! hahaha! Thanks for posting the vid because I was driving to work in my car that morning when I heard this.

Great job Madi and Steph!!! I hope you get enough votes. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I had the same problem with my Chrome Xpole, but I got used to it after a while. I have to used MightyGrip or else it’s too slippery for me. I also discovered that Aveeno lotion, the fragrance free kind, makes me skin more grip-ier and acts like mightygrip to me. http://www.aveeno.ca/en/products_details.asp?id=3684 I hope that helps. Best of luck. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

    I hear ya!

Last year the principal had a meeting with me because some parent complained that they found my facebook page and my profile pic was me hanging upside down on the pole. It was a very nice gymnast shot, not a slutty shot. And this parent said I was a stripper and didn’t want me teaching her kids. LOL! I didn’t get into trouble after explaining things to him. Thank god! LOL! So now I don’t use my real full name online anymore.

I think I have some real thick skin and I just don’t care what people think of me anymore. I wouldn’t worry because I really think Pole Dancing is going to be an exercise norm in the next couple of years. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I was on the news last year helping new pole dancing studio defend their studio. LOL! People wanted the studio out of the area because they think the studio was a strip club lol or they thought the logo made it look like a strip club. My avatar is a screen cap from the news with the title, Too Sexy?? LOL! Love it.

Once, at the school playground with my 6 yr old son, he grabbed me and dragged me over to the fire man pole and said "look mom! You can pole dance while I play!" I just laughed and said that not everybody knows what pole dancing is and they might not understand it so no thanks. I am a young mother (I look even younger and get mistaken for 18!) and I feel people already look at me funny with a 6 year old, I’d rather him not tell anyone that I pole dance too. But I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, he thinks there is nothing wrong with it, it is just exercise and dance, and I worry what will happen if he finds out from someone else about the negative connotations.

LOL! That’s going to be me when I’m a mom. I can’t wait to take them to the park to play!!!! LOL I already know all the parks in my neighborhood that have a fire man pole.

My hubby gets sore wrists from his work sometimes. He takes shark cartilage and shark liver oil in a capsule form. He swears that it helps. My wrist has been store lately from learning the cartwheel mount. I am going to try this shark cartilage and oil. I’ll let ya know if it works.

I don’t have kids but if I did I think I’d just be honest about it. I’m doing ‘artistic pole fitness’, or I am practicing aerial pole, Chinese pole, vertical dance, vertical gymnastics, vertical ballet, etc… because that’s what it is, a legit form of exercise. Just don’t call it stripper pole dancing or something like that. I’d just not ever associate it with stripping. Kkeep it G rating around the kids and your fine .. but I do make it dirty for my hubby https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif Maybe it’s easier said than done?? Maybe I will think differently when I am a mom?? I donno. I just see pole dancing becoming more mainstream regular fitness like anything else… LOL hell Yoga has some moves I believe should be x rated! Mmmmm x rated yoga… :p

I swear by bodyrock.tv p90x/insanity style workouts with video, tutorial, written explanation, beginners versions, and the incredibly hot zuzana. Her workouts are aggressive and hard. Sometimes I can complete them sometimes not. Either way I usually leave with one or more parts exhausted. Minimal equipment is needed if any. Also there is a whole backlog of workouts on her web.

I freaken LOVE Zuzanna from Bodyrock! I forgot to mention her too. I follow some of her workouts. I love her different kind of push ups she does too.
