I got it! Woohoo! And no power tools. Lol. I just had to really fucking force the other pieces away before pushing the last one away. Lol!! Now I’m walking on it popping pieces out and back in. Maybe it needs to be worn in? Omg thank god I finally got it! I was so frustrated!

Yeah I used the xstage and the star stand alone. Both really great poles. I couldn’t decide forever which one to get but I like that the star is lighter, faster to set up (other ones i used), just a pin to pull for spin mode.

I think they are or super close.

Now one of the spikes where the pie piece is supposed to slide in near the base is bent from me jumping trying to force the pie pieces in.

I’m so tempted to use a saw and trim one of them. But that’s probably not a good idea. Lol. I’m gonna give it a few more hours and if I still can’t get it I’m taking out a power tool.

I teach pole parties too. I start with a warm up, safety rules, teach some trasitions and easy spins and a couple dancey moves. Then I put it together in a cute little routine. They usually want to see me perform something too. Then stretching and done. Is this the usual format for some? Just wondering, I also would love to learn to news to jazz them up abit. No one has complained that my pole parties were not fun but I always like to do new things.

Wow she's amazing. She's my new favourite pole idol! I can't find anything inappropriate about her or her performance at all. It's totally appropriate. I see more inappropriateness with kids in jazz, hip hop or other kinds of dance! 🙂

I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so disappointed! I personally knew a couple of pole dancers who make it to the taping. But they were not aired! 🙁

So I unfollowed Canada's Got Talent on Twitter and 'unliked' their Facebook page. :p

I'd like to see no pole dance fitness competition discriminate against athletes also employed by the adult industry.

It took me just over a year to get all the way down. I am the most unflexible person everrr. I worked on my splits approx 3-4 times a week. Sometimes more. Sometimes less. I kind of wasn't consistant and I have no one to blame but myself. But anyways, it took me just over a year to get all the way down. It's now 1.5 years and I still don 't feel comfortable getting all the way down. And there are still some days where I regress a little. Keep working at it. It can take a long time but you will get it if you don't give up. 🙂

I suggest working on your splits after a good workout. Your body is so warm and loose after and it can stretch much more. 🙂

Pole dancing is my distraction to my life long battle with anxiety and depression. I deal with anxiety and depression every single day and I just find that when I'm forcused on pole, I find a sense of relief. I also had major issues in self esteem and body image but I love how pole changed all that for me to a healther me. 🙂

I just got a cool mist one for my house because I noticed it was REALLY DRY in my house. After a couple days of running this thing, it feels better in my house and it also makes a big difference with the pole. I think there needs to be a bit of humidity while poleling. You stick better. 🙂 I try and keep my house at 50% now.

You are right polegypsy! Lana Del Rey kicks ass! Blue Jeans is my fav!!! Have you heard the dubstep remix??? It's sick!!!! I've been working with this track for a while now. I've been working on a hot routine for Valentines day for my hubby. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V16GpyGRMvo

Thanks for this video Veena!!!!  And I don't think it was biased!

Here's an unbiased comment. I've poled on BOTH POLES. I think both are GREAT! And I'm not kissing ass when I say I agree with Veena's video where PS is more wobbly than Xstage. I found Xstage more secure and I like that there is more height. So what, I would totally own both. Each has their pros and cons. It all depends on personal pole dancers preference.

I've been poling for 3 years now and every month I chage my mind on what pole I like more. LOL!
