I have a 2 inch (50.8mm) lil mynx pole. When x-pole refers to a 50 mm pole they mean diameter, not circumference. If I measure around my pole (the circumference) I get a little over 6 inches, so your pole is probably standard.

    I hope this helps!

Elona, my friend Lisa recently started taking classes at your studio, I haven’t noticed any changes in her morality yet. She loves it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I ordered my shoes! I got Kiss 209 in white and Kiss 218 in black. I’m usually an 8, 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe. Some of the reviews said that the shoes were a little tight so I ordered them in 9. Hopefully they wont be too loose. I’ll let you guys know how they work out when I get them. Thanks for the help!

I think I see what you’re describing in some of the on-line pictures of these shoes. Some of the pictures show the toes hanging over the edge a little, too. Weird. But if they’re comfortable and cute then who cares? Have you danced in them yet?

Ok. I’ll look into Pleaser. Meleania, let me know how you like yours when you get them. Let me know how they fit, too. I’m an 8 or 9 depending on the shoe brand, so I don’t know which size I would get…

I have a lil mynx pro pole and I love it! They can cut it to fit your ceiling and then it will be adjustable up to 2 feet more than whatever height they cut it to. They initial installation took about 20 minutes (mostly because it took me awhile to find a stud) and now it takes me literally seconds to put up/take down my pole. I keep a level handy to make sure it’s straight and check it before each use to make sure it’s stable. You can purchase additional ceiling mounts to have in different rooms if you want to move the pole around. The pro pole also has the option of using just tension and not the ceiling bolt, but I’ve never tried this, it limits the side load and I wouldn’t want my pole to fall while I’m spinning on it. You can also purchase lil mynx poles with a spinning option.
I’ve never tried an x-pole, but a lot of people on this site have them and love them. I really considered getting one, but the only room in my house with enough room for a pole is my family room, so I need to be able to put up and take the my pole quickly and easily. From what I’ve heard, the x-pole takes a little longer to put up/take down. But, like I said I’ve never used one, so I don’t know for sure.

Good luck making your decision! Let us know which one you get and how you like it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Do you guys mostly practice at home? Or do you go to studios? I’ve been taking some lessons at Pole Addiction in Ferndale.

The studio that I take lessons at actually calls this move "the dislocator" for exactly that reason. My instructor is constantly reminding me to warm up before practicing this move. I definitely haven’t mastered it yet, but someone advised me to start with both hands on the pole first (from a sit-n-spin position) and then try to let go with the outside arm and bring it around behind you. Does that make any sense?
Good luck! I hope your shoulder feels better!
