By my experience (having danced at a few clubs – and I wasn't one who really used the pole either), not all exotic dancers can pole dance as it's sort of a teach yourself career and really, they (the ones in my area) don't seem that dedicated to it. Though I have seen a few who can do a couple inverts but nothing too fancy. I have to say that most strip club attendees aren't there for a pole dancing show either as your husband stated. The girls that really know how to pole dance seem to be the feature dancers or entertainers which are usually porn stars touring around.
