Some big sporting goods stores carry them. I get mine online through OPTP.
I did a couple of stretches from Dara Torres’s Resistance Stretching dvd last night and I could already notice a difference (I’m like a 1 on the scale of flexibility LOL). I like that it includes strength training. It takes some getting used to but I like the exercises. I’m going to only do the session from that disc for a while and see how that improves my flexibility. I need to find a foam roller also for some SMR I think that would help me, they are just VERY expensive here https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif so if anyone has any suggestions what i can use instead of a foam roller hit me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I like to vary my workouts between…… Chest flies, Bench press with dumbbells or bar bell (its good to change it up) Decline bench press, Incline bench press, or I use different hand placements for push ups. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Oh and the Arnold Press (shoulder press) Is great for chest and shoulders! I avoid the pec deck, this machine can put some peoples shoulders at risk for injury. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif Don’t forget you can use Cable machines or fit bands for any of these.

I prefer to work on new moves at the end if I am only pole dancing that day, so I am fully warm. I just don’t dance to the point of exhaustion! My new favorite way…. I do a short free weight session then hit the new moves. The weight lifting wakes me up (I have to workout in the AM) blah https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif but I have noticed a big improvement in my quality of pole sessions if I do strength work before. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
I also find that helps me I do a (roughly) 20 minute warm up then body conditioning exercises which includes strength training (all in all warm up and body conditioning probably takes just over an hour – then it’s pole time!!!) and I find that on the days that I skip the body conditioning exercises it does take me a little longer to get into.
Veena if I may ask what do you recommend instead of doing push ups lol – I HATE doing push ups https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Thanks after I posted this I read a lot of threads in the fitness section I am interested in that Bob guy’s dvd "The genius of flexibility" but lo and behold can’t find it in SA just the book. I will look at your links thanks for the response!
I am doing the Jamilla stretches from her dvd and if I’m honest there has been a teeeeeny tiny slight improvement so I guess patience https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
