There are a lot of things that happen, while doing what we accept and call pole dance. For me, it unlocked that special way I needed to feel about myself. I am totally at a loss without it. For a lack of better words I’d label the feeling as “Star Power.” I am confident, handsome, sexy, secure, one with the music, capable of walking or body rolling to the beat of my life and there’s a voice in me that tells me that the world should see this version of me. Pole gets slow for me, when my insecurities are getting the best of me, when I feel like I don’t have a place to share that energy, or when the weight of life is like shackles on legs. Even as a member of this community and platform where learning and growing in the art is welcomed, it’s still gets hard to share with others where I am in progression, when my 🌟 power is low or distant. What are we all going to do with this skill set? Is a question that can make us slow at pole no matter our age, shape, or fitness level. The minute we acquire new moves it’s like now what!? The better you feel about yourself in this area of you the more quicker you learn and get passed certain pole plateaus.

As a first timer to MTPS it was very exciting to be there and watch the performers. It was so much love and support in the room you could cut it with a knife.

I feel that men and men like myself do not need to be taught to love pole, we just have to allow ourselves first the opportunity to do it and then do it again. The love for pole is instantaneous for both genders in my mind. I do have to agree, it is more than just dancing on a pole. It’s magic on the pole!
My opinion on why there are so few men public about their passions for pole is because A. Male Sensuality is not embraced as a whole b. marketing and c. class availability issues for men. It’s one thing if you live in an area without a pole studio but when you do and there aren’t any coed or male only classes, it just sucks. I found myself SOOOO ANNOYED not being able to pole on trips out of state due to the lack of coeds. Generally I seen that men want to embrace that sensual side of themselves, but they don’t want to be that guy who embraces it openly.

I am uploading a video showing how to get into superman from a side climb and an invert or fold out as I call it. I feel that the side climb into superman is easier for people who fear falling. Superman from an invert does not really require that much endurance, but going more with the momentum and speed. I also will go on the limb to say that it might require less of me to pull off this move being a guy, but i don’t know.

I really want to acquire the pole instructors certification and open a studio where I live. I am so passionate about sharing the gifts of aerial acrobatics with anyone who wants to learn. I am so thankful for studioveena.com I recommend it any and everybody. Optimistically I know its just money to acquire to launch everything so I am just taking it one day at a time. Lately in social media people have tagged me to various material, inboxed me, and even went to some extremes to show up at my home in efforts to learn this craft. At times I know i create the pressure to achieve the goal because of those moments but I am working on that. Outside of the licensing I really would love to get in some more studios, try doubles routines, learn more advanced techniques and participate in a pole event!

I can't speak for all men, but I personally didn't need a protective cup. Good poling garments keeps the man business out of harms way. His natural body awareness will let him know if and when he needs to adjust to the pole. The biggest challenge that I faced is flexibility in my lower back and in the gracilis muscle group (inner thigh). Toe pointing is something small but should be emphasized on. I will admit I didn't get it at first but now I do. What I have seen in Male polers and in myself is that silent masculine vs feminine approach to pulling off the moves and setting up performances. In the now I have lessoned ability to go their with myself and just let everything sensual strong and poised. If he's not hung up on those than in my mind he shall do fine with anything you throw at him.
