My main suggestions for the floor work are very strong and long lines with  hard poses inbetween floor transitions. It's nothing wrong with sensual and exotic movements in there routines. I do the peek a boo, booty pop, front splits (as best i can) , body rolls, and anything u can think of in performaces  and what i do  is make some moves look more technical than graceful.  All in all they just have to get comfortable enough with themselves to do whatever the performace calls for them to do.

Being a guy who pole dances, I will say that you defenitly get hit with the stereotyping, stigma's, misconceptions, and other negatives very quickly as do women. Some people are just set in a line of thinking that guys and girls are only allowed to do x y and z. An even with that allowance it is always something to come along with that x y and z, when we actually go and try it.   I have been called alot of names lately after expressing how serious I am about becoming a PoleFessional. Depending on where you live (like where I am)  there is little to no support, or classes available for a guy wanting to venture into aerial arts so it was like running in the dark when I first got into pole dance.I knew I was going somewhere but i had no idea where. Some forms of dance are marketed as a quote on quote not a "Man" thing to do so it get's very little exposure and is always weird at first to see. Now after realizing that skin and skin training was a big key to holding myself in various positions I did take a step outside the box by watching myself  in my practice clips and I will admit that if your not into pole dance/fitness you'd probably be weirded out about the rolled up shorts and men exploring/expressing sensuality through this style of movement.  I am glad that StudioVeena.com is here to help us all  break through the social norms and see that pole dance, pole fitness, arieal arts, and the sensuality gained is for everyone. Everyone here is super supportive and that keeps me motivated and inspired to get better and better. Also I stand firm on the benefits from this and I make sure that when someone say's something out of line about me and pole dancing on other social networking sites that I don't attack them, but ensure that the other people reading it will see the positves about pole dance and what it can do for them as well.

Jungle cat, Vladimir, Steven Rech, , Rodney James, and many more of these guys are awesome. I like the personality Vladmir puts in his videos, the passion and androgyny steven puts in his work, I love Rodney's Chair work omg it's pheonomenal, its aggessive and yet sexy in the end, and Jungle cat is just fearless in studio sessions.

I hate how combative the media, the system, or whatever we want to call it has us with ourselves. I stop and think to myself all the time, "Why can't I just like something?" without it having to be such a big deal. I allow my nieces and nephew to play around with the pole. They truly have a great time because they are super competitive and will try their best at whatever they can come up with. I feel and think that it's great that they offer a childrens class considering that a few years ago we were told that u.s. citizens were overweight (gasps.). So more fitness alternatives at early ages would be a good thing right? If you ask me some of the hand raisers on the first question anderson asked to the audience @ 3:30ish bandwagoned their responses. I say this because honestly I have bandwagoned a response to something before and it left me feeling terrible about myself afterwards, but in that moment i just didn't want to be that odd man out. In time I have learned that being the odd man out is not so bad after all. It's hard but little by little I am breaking away from that projected line of thinking  so I can do the opposite of what HotelChick said and not eat this crap up anymore.
