@Vaudeville- I feeel I have benefited form thse split DVDs in addiion to Veena's.

They are not exactly the same. The VB is a bit more intese and uses the blocks to achieve oversplits- the poses seem more challenging to hold for the entire minute to me. (if you are going a long w DVD or veena split lesson- I know she says you can pause and hold as long as you like- I just never do, simply follow the routine!)  The other videos – inward an outward joints really focus on those areas you need flexible tofully open up- I just love them. I was also dying for a back routine. This one is intense but I feel has given me what I have been looking for.

It is challenging and I love the sequence and flow. THats just my opinion though, I love mixing it up a bit otherwise get bored and I think my muscles also get bored wit the same repetiotion. I ordered ALtheas splits as well and will rotate and incorporate all of them.

@emotioncatcher- Which DVD did you get and how are you liking it? I ended up ordering the entire set. I really like them. I find them to be challenging. Been doing in sequence for a week and a half now and see results already. I am foam rolling before and after. Some of the moves in backbend, I cannot do yet and I need variation for the scorpion cheast stand etc.. Need to google a baby version or a sequence of learning to get into the move. The rest I found I could do with putting on long scks and using the sock where I cant yet grab my foot in that position. I am really enjoying them! Thanks for the info. I alays need something to challnge me or I get bored quickly. Love these.

I just found this link on youtube of someone demonstarting her moves she teaches in her workshops from some of her recent performances. This is some of what she will teach you:

@pegasus- You are so lucky! She was soo sweet. She said she satrted 3-4 years ago just like us- went to a classs and got hooked! She does move like an angel. She is so lean, petite and strong!

@Michelel H- You will LOVE the workshops. I am sure she will show you some of these moves she did us as well. It looks so scary and advanced in her video- but she breaks down so easily. Not only is she gifted as a  poler, but as a teacher as well. She was so encouraging and genuinley excoted for us.

I dont know about pole studios per say.. but I own a business and I know our workers comp and liability ins carriers require us to keep certificates of insurance onfile for every subcontractor we use. If we dont, when they audit us, they can back charge us for the subs insurance. Being that you arent an employee, but a contractor, I would wonder if that would place you liable if anyone resulted in injury due to your instruction? What if you were to have a fall or be injured? Or someone was injured while you were spotting? Would the studio cover you? It seems odd that you wouldnt need to be insured unless you were covered under their policy. I would ask more questions and protect yourself! 🙂 Congrats on the new position!

Does anyone have the backbend DVD? I am interested in that one. I have been looking for a really good back routine and wonder if this one is worth it? I am kinda piecing together different back stretches and would love a routine to follow that would challenge me

I love this about pole these days.. you can be sexy, sporty, delicate- whatever suits your personality or mood. Everyone has a different style and that is what is wonderful about the pole. You dont have to be just sexy! Everyone can enjoy it no matter what their personality. I like to be sporty- more gymnastic like practicing w my kids and only get my sexy on by myself or for my hubby. 🙂  Sexy pole dancing is traditional but without- pole fitness w pole would never have come into my house and life! lol I love and appreciate all of it. The differences are what opened the possibility of poling for me.
