She says she bought it two years ago form X pole. She never used it on spin. I will try tightening the screws below the adjusteras well. Would those screws make the entire pull unwnd far enough to come down? It was spinning like it was on a very slow spin mode and we couldnt seem to get it to static.

Thank you, I will. I hope it was not a fake X pole because I bought it from a member on this site and if it was I overpaid for it! I will get the pics so you can eval. She did say it was fairly new.

All great tips on here- and yes look behind you! FInd a spot on the wall- like a plug or something to aim your gaze at when you tip backwards and that should help too! 🙂 Keep trying, you will get it!

I also use just plain old black electrical tape- protects and comes off w no pulling of the skin. One of my fav products- always have it w me, use it for my horse, pole and everything else!. Cheap , convenient and – it works!

As mentioned by someone else- make sure your moisturizer has SPF in it- always wear it! The sun is so damaging and if using retinae, you must wear it at all times. 🙂

I unfortuntely also have this problem! I struggled for many years w no results having tried just about everything, including proactive.

I finally got serious in treatment with my gynecologist and dermatologist. I have clear skin now, but it was a process!

I started w laser treatments- not the surface one but deep fractional laser.I know thats not an option for everyone but it really halted the acne that was there-

Then for upkeep now, any blemish that appears I have to treat immediately by getting the hottest water I can stand on a sterile cotton ball and applying pressure to the spot twice daily. hot water and lots of pressure! The spot also then gets treated w a bleaching cream ( I use Obagi)

Retinae is a staple! I not only use it on the blemish, but my derm has me use it all over my face for wrinkle prevention (im 38)

If I get a very deep cystic spot appear, my derm treats it as an emergency! lol… I come in right away and have it spot treated w the laser to get energy into it and break it up right away!

I cleanse twice a day w quality product (skinmedica or obagi), toner, moisturize, retinae and bleaching cream

Once a week, I use a 20% glycolic at home and a deep moisturizer

I also cleanse w a clarisonic brush, but you can buy one OTC now that works just as well..

Never touch your face w your hands!

Keep your cell phone away from your face, wipe it down w alcohol regularly.

Bacteria casues acne, so it is really important to keep your hands etc off your face, wash your cosmetic brushes..

I also have switched to Jane Iredelle mineral makeup- it is actually good for your skin and wearing the foundation acts as a barrier of protection to your skin to keep the bacteria off your face. Bacteria cant grow in those minerals so you are safe.  ( i know Chem said otherwise on another forum, but Jane Iredelle website says it does not support bacteria and so does both of my doctors)

It seems like a lot- and it is! But, If you are serious about getting rid of it, this will work.

I previously tried all other OTC methods and NONE worked. I struggled for years.

This is the first time in about 15 years that I have clear skin. BTW, I did not have acne as a teenager- it only showed up once I was an adult!

I know this treatment plan can be exspensive and not everyone will be able to do,but adopting any of the parts that you can will help (ie- hot water cotton balls.. practically free!)

I was also instructed to not pop / squeeze as it can spread bacteria , leave scarring and cause more acne- that is why you use the hot water cotton ball pressing.

I try to get a facial every two weeks where they can do extractions safely- but that isnt always possible for me. The facials really help to unclog the pores and keep everything steady.

For me, it was all totally worth it! My self esteem had suffered SOOOOO much from the constant acne, and sometimes it was even very painful!

btw, I had tried w fail oral antibiotics and birth control pills. This has been the ONLY treatment plan that has been successful in all these years.

Good luck to you and keep us updated on your progress and let us know what works / doesnt!

With work and investigation if money is an issue, I am sure you can look for cheaper products w similar ingredients from those Ive listed. The clear skin is definieoly worth the work!

I love my X pole! In fact, Im buying a second one today in a different size and finish. It comes w its own case. It can broken down and placed in a bag easily to move. It also doesnt require any drilling into ceilings so you can put it up anywhere you have a support beam in your ceiling. I move it back and forth between two rooms at home- one w carpet and one w out! I also pack it up and take it to my cousins.  I am 5'3" 140 lbs and can do lots of advanced moves. I say go for it!

I had my first pole jam w my first pole  buddy. It felt super awkward to me at first too. She brought her kids w her so we first toured around my house and played w them until they felt comfortable to play w my kids. We did a bit of small talk and got a drink (water). Then, we finally got to the pole.We watched a few of our favorite videos together, then warmed up a little. Once we got on the pole and began moving we ended up having a blast! We even tried a few doubles moves. We were laughing and having a great time. It felt really good to have someone to share with! I work a lot so I dont get to socialize much- even though I woud like to. I was really nervous too cause I rarely have someone over, I didnt know if we should run straight to the pole or socialize first… lol. It al worked out. I took cues from her- she seemed genuinely interested in seeing my home, garden and watching our kids interact at first. Once we were all comfortable w each other we were able to relax and pole! We even ended up talking a bit afterwards and played w our kids who were playing w my animals. We will definitely get together again and I do think I made a great new friend! I woried about what we do- how we would do it- how we would warm up, etc.. Once she got there I just decided to go w the flow!

I love both going to the studio- and poling at home w Veena. I honestly dont think I would have progressed as fast if I didnt have a pole at home and also learn w Veena! You only have so much time in the studio. I find I learn form both situations and they are a great compliment to each other. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I have a 45 at home, 50 in studio. I can do way more grip stuff at home and leg hangs better at the studio, lol. No help. I wanna 50 at home too so I can go back and forth for which move works better on which pole.
