Wow, thanks. This is really good information for me. I am new to poling and I haven’t learned the basics of inversion. First, I didn’t know ANYTHING about putting my shoulders down and back. I’m re-thinking the gym where I pay for lessons since they don’t seem to stress the safety. I have to say I am glad I found this site. It is nice to see that I can learn safely and I now know that I need to slow down before I hurt myself! I would like to do this for a while and I def. don’t want to hurt my chances of continuing by giving myself a back injury! Thanks so much

I have a resista band. It’s a rubber tube with handles on it. You can use it to do different types of exercises to work your arms and chest pretty good sitting down. You can even change the resistance by just wrapping the band around your hands…I think they come with exercise instructions too. I’m so sorry about your fib. I hope you heal well. Get better soon, I’m sure your pole misses you!

"my sexy little pole" Is not a great pole either. It is really flexy and ruins the ceiling where you mount it. It says it can handle up to 200 pounds when bolted in, but I would NOT try that. I paid 180 ish for it and after two weeks, I went and got a lil mynx rotator. I’m a beginner and after a couple of weeks I found this pole to be really unstable and wobbly. Um just wanted to add my little penny to the conversation.. I wish I had read this FIRST before I shelled out almost 200 bucks for a really crap pole and I should have just go the 300 dollar mynx. With that money I could’ve afforded a really nice X-Pole. Live and learn penny!

I havent tried a peek a boo pole, but I did purchase a "my sexy little pole" for about $180… it was really flimsy and I kept cutting my hands on the parts where the sections joined..I ended up throwing in the trash after a couple of weeks and getting a lil mynx. I was so disappointed with the first pole, although it didn’t break it did leave awful marks on my ceiling and it was just not comfortable to work with. I wish the stores in my town had the X-pole or the lil mynx. Yes I have seen the videos online…it looks so painful to see people falloff their poles. I know even my sub-par pole had warnings all over it, I wonder how people still invert on a pole that is clearly not meant for that..Kinda stupid, but also irresponsible on the manufacturer’s side too. um, that’s my 2 cents…o yeah one more penny, Kendra is awful on her pole, I’ve seen her show. She’s cute but her pole work is not.
