I would just tell her that you don't want to perform but would love to help. Just tell her you don't feel comfortable doing it in front of an audience, let alone in your class. Honesty is usually the best policy

I'm against it because so many people abuse it and there actually are adverse affects on the body from it. http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2012/08/22/1206820109.abstract.  It can cause neurological damage (like smoking of any kind). My personal belief is the only things acceptable to inhale on a regular basis is air and an inhaler (for asthmatics only).

My abs stretch when I do backbends but its my spine that gets in the way. I'll be doing bridges and my abs will stretch and then my spine's like "haha no".

Pilates is better for building strength and yoga is better for flexibility. So choose whichever you want more of or do both 🙂

@Nightfall, Its not that 45's pinch, its that for certain moves, you are supporting your body weight on a smaller surface area so it hurts a little more than it would with a larger area. The transition from 50 to 45 was extremely smooth for me and I honestly haven't noticed a difference other than when it comes to grip.

@luvlee, you could try just buying a black or clear pair of heels and applying the glitter yourself. I have a few friends who did that and its so much cheaper

Skittles is awesome!! I always love watching her videos. because she looks so strong and smooth and has some tutorials on how to do things (she's the reason I can do a shouldermount flip). I also love Emotion Catcher (Julia Wahl). She's got tons of free lessons on youtube and I refer to those when I am trying new moves.

I think you look damn good in that picture and they are just mad that they don't look like that. Jealousy brings out the worst in people.

I find that my stretching is more effective when I am doing it with other people. My pole teacher is starting a fitness group for our town and we are gonna get together to do different fitness activities like stretching and hiking. Its also good to have someone there to push you that extra inch or two. When I stretch with my friend Jamie, I have her push me down farther or help me pull my leg up behind me to get towards being able to do a scorpion.

I heard you weren't supposed to use it on multipiece poles cuz it could get in between the pieces and cause them to stick together but I don't know if its true or not. I use heavy duty hairspray and it works great for me and I just bought a pair of Mighty grip gloves with tack and love them! I stick like a gecko.

I'd try this myself but I have one of those evil popcorn ceilings that crumbles when you touch it so I'd make a huge mess and probably swallow some of it again
