I was thinking of wearing them for an in studio performance in august but just in general I'd like to spare my roommates from getting mentally scarred should they walk in while I'm practicing. If I can find some cute shorts to wear under them I'll do that

You could try to purchase one from the Australian store and pay extra for shipping. You would have to talk to them about it though.

I highly recommend an x-pole. I just bought a 45mm x-pole titanium gold finish and its been working out great. its super easy to set up and is very stable. x-pole also explains which size is best for what. as for finishes, its really a matter of preference. brass is the grippiest but also the most expensive. titanium gold is supposed to mimic the grippiness of brass. chrome is the standard finish you will see at most studios.

fitness and to gain confidence. I always wanted to be a dancer or a gymnast but my parents put me in sports all my life so I was never able to do it

  • I went from a 50mm to a 45mm and love it!! I recommend going with the TG finish, its only $30 more and its grippier.

planks are supposed to be really good. the thing I heard though is that doing ab exercises builds muscle under belly fat which gives the appearance of a larger belly. what I would do is cut back on simple carbs and add more lean protein. high intensity interval training is supposed to be a really good fat burner

Do a sea salt soak. thats what they told me to do for healing piercings and it should work the same for tattoos. it will help disinfect without drying out your skin

Honestly, I would email X-pole for the exact specs on what the original model should have/look like. thats your best bet.

My dance teacher is going to lend me one of Alethea's dvds but I'm looking into these as well cuz they are so affordable.

Its hard not to compare, everyone does it. What I tell myself is that the reason certain girls who have been doing it less time are advancing beyond me is 1) they have less weight to lift and 2) they probably do an insane amount of working out which is why they are in better shape.

I'm 5'5 and 170lbs. the way I see it, I'm going to be losing weight while working out so the extra weight just means I'm going to be even stronger when it comes off.

I just bought a spinning pole (it hasn't arrived yet) and I've heard that a lot of people who go with non spinning poles end up wishing that they had spent the extra money for the one that does both.  My studio had only static poles but I went to a studio down south that has spinning poles and I went on one and was hoooked.
