There are no studios in my area at all. Pole buddies sound great to me. 🙂 I have been poling for 3 months and would say intermediate. I have recently hurt some ribs so I am taking it slow this week and hoping to be back at it next week.

I set up a skype with the same username platinumani. I work mainly Mon-Fri days. If anyone wants to set up some evening sessions let me know!

Just my experience, but i love my round pink mat. The man and I took turns flying across the room and flopping on it… never felt the floor. I don't feel that I have developed a false sense of securty either… I know full well when it is not there. You just have to still work on safe exit strategies. I pole alone 90% of the time. for me a must…. Just IN CASE…..

Do it! Even if you think it is bad. We all start somewhere, most of us at the very beggining! As you post more you will be glad you have those initial ones. Believe me it is rewarding to track your porgress. At least for me it is what keeps me trucking!

3 months ago I could barely hold myself up, pole sit was way beyond me, and I "hung" in my spins. I am nowhere near some of these girls, but have gained enormous strength and a bunch of tricks. If you get a home pole def get Veena's lessons.  Have someone video you at the studio and you can still post without the membership. I like having a record of my short but ever growing experience. This place is amazing and you will not find a more amazing community to join. Learn at your own pace and welcom to you addiction!

My thoughts are with you. I had 2 deaths 1 week apart this month. I had trouble getting my pole groove for a bit myself. It will come when your ready.

I am totally with poledanceABCs Gel liners are the way to go. Fluidlines are my all time favs but some of the ones from coastal scents aren't too bad for a budget conscious choice. Using a brush is so so much smoother for me.

OH makeup talk on a pole site. I am in heaven. I literally have a makeup room. 🙂

I have a ton of high end products due to my obsession, but there are some drug store lines I love.

NYX-Eyeshadows, blushes (they make mattes!!), and mega shine lipgloss.

Sleek- Palettes (super pigmented) shipping is expensive here though. I have a friend in Scotland send mine.

    Milani-Eyeliners

    Loreal-Mascara (voluminous, carbon black)

Revlon- Matte lipsticks      and          Maybeline- color sensational lipsticks

I totally say splurge on eyeshadow primers (Too Faced Shadow Insurance or MAC Paint Pots are my personal fav) as they make any shadows look great and last all day. Also brushes, MAC is my fav and I love Too Faced teddy bear hair brushes. They last forever if you take care of them and make all the difference. Sigma is a more affordable option but do not last as long.

    For sites:

Marlena at Makeup geek does the best tutorials and has a fab personality. Sweet Girl! Christine at Temptalia does the best and HONEST reviews high end and low end. Makeupalley is great for swapping as anything except mascara and lipgloss is able to be sanitized.

I love pole dvds (have 3)! I am waiting on my AOP + routines 1&2, should be here next week. I will look into these also. That being said I wouldn’t trade my gold Veena subscription for any of them. She is constantly updating and adding. A dvd is done, this site is ever expanding.

Bryce also did the remmicaid back in the day until his insurance dropped him. After his surgery he was on Pentasa (Asacol) for a year. He also takes 6mp an immunosuppresant. They slowly weaned him off of the Pentasa and he has remained controlled. I def understand how big of an impact it has on daily life and will be thinking of you. One day they will figure out how to beat this!

I watched a couple of your videos and you are really good. I don't think at your level you will have lost much. Maybe go back to Veena's beginner lessons and just start working through to see where you strength level really is right now. Be careful though because the prednisone is likely to make you feel better than you really are. As I said in your previous post my fiance has crohns and my mom has UC I have been through this with them a lot. He rides BMX and after a couple of weeks can hit all his tricks. Take it easy, build back up, and I will be thinkin of you.

If you don't mind I was wondering what kind of treatment you are on? When I met my fiance he had stopped treatment due to his insurance dropping him. He had 18 inches of his small intestines removed… but has been asymptomatic since.  3 years :).

My man has Chrohn's so I understand a bit of what your saying. He almost died on me. He has since had surgery to remove 18 inches of his small intestine. With the right medications has been flare free for ever 3 years. I am not saying you need surgery just that with the right treatment it can be more manageable. My thoughts are with you.
