I am up to mentor 🙂 It is partially selfish though *Shh*
I learn a ton when I am helping other to nail something. It makes me more creative and reminds me of the "basics" that are easy to ignore once you advance. Send me a pm if your interested. I will say I am ok with exchanging messages but would like to skype semi frequently. Skype name- platinumani

I tried it yesterday. I hadn't done much research though so I didn't reach Nearly as far down as Anastasia, but I got the mechanics. Will try again tomorrow with *Hopefully* more bend! Will include my first attempts in the video I am about to upload 🙂

Sorry you are hurt! You should visit with your doctor that has dealt with your knee issues. Maybe even show them a video so they understand what poling is. Most importantly though is to listen to your body. I know there are lots of people here who have dealt with crazy things by learning to work with their particular bodies/issues. No need to feel defeated everyone has to take breaks and you don't lose it as quick as you think. Good luck and rest up!

Yep there are polers of all ages here! Welcome to SV https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Welcome to SV. The ladies have given great advice and I am happy you got Veena's lessons. 🙂

Please don't think I am upset by this thread. I know it didn't come from a mean place. (This time or the other 2 I have seen) However, it does sour some people or make them question themselves. A new poler's confidence can be quite fragile and I would hate to discourage someone from showing off their stuff and possibly getting the feedback they need! Anyway I just wanted to give another perspective.

Just MY opinion but I don't like this thread. I have seen it here before and people get their feelings hurt or don't want to share their accomplishments. Pretty discouraging for people who maybe just got their wrist seat or whatever and wanted to share… until they thought everyone here hates it. I am well aware no one meant it in that manner and are just sharing their personal opinions. That being said I have been here a couple of years and know this community in ways new people do not. To say you personally do not like a move is one thing but to describe it as "cringe" or "ugh" worthy is not empowering, in fact is quite the opposite.
I can find merit in basically ANY move and want people to be comfortable sharing them V-legs and all https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I am not saying don't be uptight or a downer… but do be careful about joining in or raunchy jokes. In recent years I have terminated as many females as males for harassing/discriminatory behavior. In the litigious work world you have to be smart. If they are already gunning for you don't give them ammunition. Regardless of intent if 1 person is "offended" your at risk. It is not even about what you say or do but the perception of the people who may see/over hear. Do your job, do it well, earn your respect and rise above the drama. As a person that deals with HR on issues for over 700 employees I will tell you that is what an employer wants.

The post that were really off the chain have been removed. I emailed webby shortly after they were posted. I think the below post are real. Also the user name was not the same, just close enough to imply it were Sarah.

I am not sure what you do but with any job I suppose the answer is.. prove them wrong. Make sure you are not the token female by being great at your job. Then buy the SV pole and take your frustrations out on it.
