Hi, Alley!
I’m so so sorry to hear that you ordered from them. I really hope your experience with them is better than mine! I had also ordered a pole from Modern Man Caves, because their site showed that they had the pole I wanted in stock, even though Xpole was out. I waited a week and never received a shipping confirmation, and when I went to their site, my orde status was totally blank. I had to email them to even find out that the pole was not actually in stock. I had no reason to believe that they had any intention of contacting me to let me know that. They didn’t even know that Xpole was out until June (this was early April). I don’t know how they are running a business unless it’s a total scam operation…
They promised to refund my money but when it didn’t show up in my account days after the 7 business days they told me to wait, I emailed them again. The person I’d been emailing with told me he would contact “accounts payable” and find out what the problem was. Then they completely stopped responding to any email inquiries.
It’s a good thing I placed this order using PayPal. Otherwise I probably would have never seen my money again. I disputed the transaction and sent them several messages on PayPal in an attempt to sort it out, but they still they never answered. PayPal gives the merchant two weeks to respond to THEM once you escalate the dispute to a claim, and Modern Man Caves never responded to PayPal either. With PayPal, if the merchant cannot respond with proof of delivery showing that they sent you the product, you win the dispute. I got my money back, but only because of PayPal. In the meantime, I had purchased another pole from a dealer that was actually reputable (Microfiber Products, and their customer service was wonderful), and had it for weeks before I got my money refunded for the first one.
If you bought it using PayPal, you may have waited too long to file a dispute, but I would look into it. I definitely recommend that you use them for all major online purchases from here on out. This is the second time they have gotten my money back from a bad merchant who never delivered.
Good luck! Please let us know how things turn out for you… I hope you get a home pole soon!!!

I’m the opposite. I wear a size 10 in every shoe known to man but did not feel secure in a size 10 stiletto. I size down to a 9 in every pole shoe I wear, including pleasers. They do start off tight in the toes, of course. But they will stretch over time, and it doesn’t take too long. I found that the clear plastic shoes take much longer to stretch than the poly (leather imitation) styles. What I always did was use the clear plastic shoes at home to slowly break them in first, and that took some time, but was worth it. Once they are broken in they fit like a glove. Hope this helps!
