I love my LM powder-coated pole. I have one at home and it's what I use at the studio, and I've never had trouble with either coming down during use. Like some of the other posters said, it's just a matter of making sure they're mounted properly. I've seen spins, doubles routines and major moves pulled on LM poles with no problem, and mine stays put on a non-carpeted floor even without the pad underneath. ut yes, you do have to mount it into your ceiling (it has just one screw in a mount that is meant to look like a plant hook when the pole isn't attached).
