I’m sorry you are having so much trouble with your pole! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I have a PS MPS Pole too but I’ve only had it a month. I wish I had some words of wisdom or something.

The clubs I used to go had hooping girls and people doing poi… I bet it is a really good workout. I knew this guy who started doing poi and he had major arm muscles really quickly. And hooping isn’t a cardio workout until you start doing it the whole night while dancing too. Those girls would sweat, I bet it is a good workout!

I am searching for a giant mirror, too.Yeah I just called housing and they no longer "rent" out furniture… just for people processing in or out who don’t have their household goods. You used to be able to keep it for the whole time you were here. Oh bummer!! I’m just glad I didn’t tell her we have some other gov’t furniture that we kept. Hehehe. I am getting to the point that I’m just thinking of making a mirror… might be cheaper than buying a floor to ceiling mirror. I just don’t seem to have any luck dumpster diving….

I wasn’t a member when this challenge came out (heck, I didn’t even have a pole). So…. I’m taking time out to do previous challenges because I really really want to! I have the January challenge up on YouTube. It came out way way darker than what it looked on my camera but oh well. I think you can still see it, maybe?

I know that because we live on-post overseas we can borrow gov’t furniture and one of the things they have is a HUGE floor mirror. The movers took some stuff back when we got our household goods and I want it back. Hmm… You know, I’m going to call them! Maybe your post might have one too? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_smurfin.gif

I thought willy was universally accepted for the P word? Or maybe I just watch way too many "international" films and tv shows. hahaha

There are some old vids from Fawnia Mondey and her stuff is more exotic dance oriented too. They are called Striptease Series…

PS – I was researching the history of pole dance and in one website they listed Ms. Mondey as the first pole dancer. Is that true? I was reading about Chinese pole dancing and then some circus pole dancing… and the first recorded sexy pole dance was in the 1960s? It is just that whenever a new dance genre starts you have the big names or stars (like Isadora Duncan) but usually there is a movement with several dancers before the new genre is recognized.

I think the pain goes away after a while… and your skin gets tougher. It still kinda hurts me but it is MUCH better now than when I started. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_smurfin.gif

I hate to sound like I’m tooting my own horn but I didn’t rush in to buy a crappy pole. I asked around A LOT but that is because I’m a cautious (some may say cheap) person; I research anything I pay more than $100 for. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_moneyeyes.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Thanks for posting this. Even with the word out people are still buying crappy poles because they are so visible. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif

When I did modern dance it was different and being kinda random/wierd/goofy was ok… but I do have trouble with pole dance/floorwork stuff. I’ll do an extra challenge just to push myself in that aspect.
