Am I creating a young pole monster? LOL
Probably…but if it is any consellation…I did too!
Kids play, Kids play on poles….in SCHOOL PARKS!
What is so wrong with wanting your children to be physically active and participate in activities that are not only fun, but great exercise??
There is NOTHING wrong with your daughter poling….just ensure she knows the difference, and with you taking classes…she should!
My daughter is 17. Showed NO interest in what I have done for the last 10 years!! That is until last October.
9 months later….my daughter now assists with me for my classes…and has written her fitness qual course here…and passed! In Canada you can be 17 and get certified, but can only assist, as insurance will not cover those under 18!
If we hide it from the kids..who will be there to take over when we are done? Personally, I want pole and PoleJunkies to succeed, if my daughter wants to take over my company…good on her! It is up to me to teach her to respect the pole as she would any other piece of fitness equipment!
Enjoy including her in your time with your pole! It really is a wonderful bonding experience! Not to mention a way to ensure active living on her part! My choice was let her sit in front of the idiot box or computer and get fat….or let her explore new opportunities to help her live longer by being active! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
I was a dancer for over a decade…I have no worries or fears that she will follow that business route, she watched my life! My only problem was the kids she has issues with telling her she is going to end up a cracked out stripper on the pole! Kids really are mean…so now she mentions her job to no one. She enjoys it for herself!
I let her read this thread this morning and she said…"I do it for me, cause it is fun and a challenge! There are enough skanky ho’s in schools! AND….check out my 2 tickets to the Gun Show! LOL!" (she has awesome pipes https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif )

There are quite a few women with this issue!
There are a variety of reasons for the pain in the wrist…NOT all pertaining to the wrist!
The wrist is an end result…meaning, that is not where the problem has started…just showing up!
Many cases of wrist pain in pole dancers is caused by the Ulna nerve or the forearm flexors…and yes CT is included..but usually it is just superficial!
Try massage first…and it WILL take more than once!
I was down for 9 weeks in a brace from seizing the flexor and the nerve reacts nasty. Causing the forearm to harden, and the wrist to be the focus of the pain.
There are 2 pressure points in the forearm that, if massaged, can release the tightened muscle and allow the nerve to function properly..,which in turn will allow the 5 small carpels in the wrist to move freely. One is located on the Ulnaris (pinky side of the forearm approx 3.5-4" below the elbow bone). The second is located on the Radialus (thumb side of the forearm)…both on the meaty portion closest to the elbow! In addition, there is a muscle that runs the middle of the backside of the forearm…Digitorum…that is known to tighten along with the other 2!
FYI…it starts with a minor pinch on the back of the forearm (digitorum)…just between both muscles. Then it increases down the wrist (Ulnarus side)…after that it will move back up to the internal condyle in the elbow causing problems in the bicep. End result…no closing hand into fist, no bending hand forward or backward.
A great home massage….get a baseball or tennis ball, or a rolling pin, roll your forearm across it top and bottom, keeping pressure on the arm.
On another note…dehydration can play a HUGE part in the forearm behavior. If not fully hydrated the muscles lose fluidity and become "sticky", this will increase the damage x10. Proper hydration is REQUIRED!!!
Think of your forearm as a child…a tempermental one! If you do something it doesnt like…it will tell you, if you dont listen…it WILL pull a temper tantrum and make you listen!
This is a warning sign…take care of your arms please, best to get massage and let the doc check you out to ensure it is not something more major!!

LOL…seems like there should be a trick! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
But unfortunately…there is not!
Siting is what I call the most "Thigh" Opening experience you will ever have!
Remember the golden rule…NEVER LET GO!
The pain…for no reason…will all of a sudden subside, no rhyme…no reason!
A tip..tilt to your low leg…and always ensure your foot hooks the pole on the same side as your hip…prevents joint stress!
Also, ensure your core is as close to the pole as possible…that way you can balance against it, and it will help to reduce the pinch on the upper thigh!
Also…if you are like my daughter…and pole sitting is totally unbearable…..get baby orajel. It will desensitize the legs and allow you to concentrate on the position without the pain level being too high!
There is still discomfort…but not as bad!
Hope this helps!

Hmmm…the pin is short???
normal pin is between 1.75 and 2" in length…and there is a hole at the bottom of the clevis pin?
My suggestion is maybe a new pin…or better yet, for the doityourselfer……
Buy a flat head nail that is slightly larger in length and diameter/thickness, and insert it. I had to buy some nails when my pin order did not come in time…they work, they are longer…and a bit more secure. I didnt even file the tip off the nail, but you could do that!
Considering the pins are $5…..and a nail is less than $0.49…try the nail!

I dont use the brass, just the stainless….
If the pin is brass, that could be the issue.
Brass is a much softer metal (the reason they dont make a multi piece), and if the pin is brass, the normal movement of the pole will wear down the pin.
I do know there was a batch of pins that were slightly thinner than the normal ones (I have issues getting the normal ones out with nails..LOL). I noticed the difference in size from those to my pin (my pole is almost 7).
Also…..if the pole is not SECURELY tightened…the pole will have a vertical play at the bases…the pole essentially lifts up…pushing the pin up and out!
Hope this helps…..if not, I suggest you contact Kim at Platinum for a better solution!

I use the Vaulted Ceiling adapters in my studio for the PS poles!
REMEMBER…the VC adapter MUST be attached to the ceiling…this means the pole is NO LONGER complete removable. The adapter stays up! Easily covered, yes…but still permanently installed!
The poles are awesome. I am the Canadian Retailer for Platinum Stages…have been for over 6 years! Personally, I have NEVER had an issue with a pole falling, or slipping out of place, that is why I posted an install video for the PS pole! This way people understand that you DO need to tighten it…and it take more than you think to overtighten it!
I set up my poles 6 days a week in my studio, as they come down after every class!
If anyone has any ?’s about the PS, feel free to ask! I would be more than happy to help!

She’s coming to Canada! YAY!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
I am really looking forward to meeting all the new pole dancers this year! We have confirmed 7 countries attending the IPC event this year!
For anyone who may be interested…..there are 4 spots open that are being released to the public!
Meaning….some of the original members have given up their spots, as they are not able to attend this year! SO that means NEW POLE CAMPERS!
This year we are giving away a PS Super Pole to one lucky camper, there is over $5000 in prizes to be drawn over the weekend! It is POLE at its finest from Friday at 630 pm until Sunday at 5pm…..leaving breaks for sleep! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
If anyone is interested in one of the available spots, please contact me and I can send you the information!
FYI…US flights return are as low as $400 on Priceline, and WestJet has wicked deals! We are also offering a discounted room rate to all attendants! Keeping with the nasty economic times…I want this event to be as fun…and as cheap as possible!

They are made with high quality vinyl, which is easily kept clean with an antibacterial soap and water…and are very long lasting!
Foam is high density, which will not bottom out when you stand or fall on it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
All products are Made in Canada, ensuring all content follows national standards!
There are quite a few products made in China, which may contain content that is not approved by US or Cdn federal control. 3 different foams I have researched contain contaminants not safe as per our standards!

I sell these in North America! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
