I started working on stretching recently. I can't do a split, but left leg is quite a bit more flexible than the right, I guess it has to do which side I tend to use to do certain poses a lot. I just want to share that in the past I never stretched because I thought there was no hope for me to achieve splits. But two years later I was surprised to see that my flexibily has improved quite a bit although I didn't intentially work on it. So now I really want to improve it even further now so maybe one day I can do a split! Being flexible is such an advantage when it comes poling.

I am from Canada too! This community is amazing, the best a pole dancer could ask for. 😉

It would be fun to dance to a song in a language that I dont understand… I really like this song from my favorite Korean TV show "Boys before flowers". and I also really like the idea of dancing to music from the year you were born too, lots of great songs from the year 1977, for instance "Dancing queen" by ABBA! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I know, the song was played every xmas party for work that I went. And of course, "Hotel California" by Eagles. This challenge would be fun!

In the beginning of learning CAR, I remember I had to squeeze my both my legs and butt really really tight to get it to work. For a period of time, my tail bone would hurt from leaning against the pole so much, but then the pain wears off as your thigh muscle get stronger so I don’t need to lean against too close. The point of contact should be the inner thigh muscle the part is right above your knees. Keep trying, you’ll get it!
