Trena – agree totally. Deb is fantastic. She’s as tiny as Jenyne! Its mad – people look so much taller on the pole. Today is the first day since Sat I can take a drink without going ow ow https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Love love love the shoulder mount lift – think its everyones fave move from the class https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Just need to get Deb back over here now for a follow-up class to make us all work extra hard to impress her https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif -
That was brilliant. Love the full flag and your climb at the end – amazing!

Santa brought me my pole last year and its up in the kitchen so cant hide it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I have a 5 year old son who thinks its perfectly normal for a pole to dance on to be in the kitchen. Its only when his friends come round who dont live near and ask questions like is your Daddy a fireman that he gets confused. But he explains no its for mammy to dance on and she can do cool flips (he is a break dancing fan so thats very cool to him) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I hope that because he is growing up with it he will never have a problem with it. I think telling your kids the truth is the best way to go about it usually. (though appreciate theres a big diference between a small child and a teenager…)

MemberJanuary 11, 2010 at 12:12 pm in reply to: getting into deathlay from aerial superman?I’ve managed it from a chopper as close to the ceiling as I could get but my knees ended up bent a bit to get the hold. Think you get the best position from the shoulder mount.
GH- I’ll have to thank Trena for the compliments! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Empy-You are prob. a lot more qualified than me to be giving advice. Was just trying to help from my experience. But you are right you need to be really careful on this one and have a spotter with you when you are trying to master it -

MemberJanuary 10, 2010 at 5:27 pm in reply to: getting into deathlay from aerial superman?Emp- she is trying to get into the shoulder mount from superman – thats what both arms behind are for. I think you’re right on the superman straight to death lay -cant see that one working properly.
GH- keep trying. If you are too close to the ground when you drop your legs you will be standing, but if you can drop your legs a bit and arch just enough to get your other arm behind and into position you will have it.
Best of luck with it – its a great one to get https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif -

Hey https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Completely missed your routine on the night – just watched it there and you were brilliant https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif so graceful and every move is smooth and flawless. Well done! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
The poles were incredibly slippy! Arlo was up after you and had the right idea – she cleaned both poles herself before starting her routine!May is the Irish Pole Championship in Fusion in Drogheda – usually about 600 people crammed in and on an x stage https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif There is the Irish Pole Unity in March which is a show rather than a comp – you should defo come to that!
Congrats https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Yesterday was incredible https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif She sat us down and asked us what we wanted to cover -the list was huge!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif soo many moves to work on now – twisted grip without kicking into it, jade drop (if I ever get the splits!!), crazy drop from a pole sit to brass monkey to flag to floor – to name a few https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Then she did a performance and gave us all lovely signed photos with a different comment for everyone. It was a fab class and she is amazing. Would recommend it to anyone!

Hi Caroline,
Trena is right – you were brilliant in the South East Pole Comp! Are you doing Pole Princess on Sunday?
There is an Irish Pole Unity being organised for March as well. So Deetron, Trena, Polegrrrlll (sp?) and Teegal -hope you will all perform in that as its not a competition – its a show for charity https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gifSee all of you on Sunday https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Deetron – I cant wait!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Going over with Vanessa – flying over first thing in the morn and back that night https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif Lisa is going too – from LA Fitness.. I posted a thing on here about it saying about the aerial hoops and that you would like that – thats deadly you are going! She is amazing!!!
Amcut – you will get it – think its one of those moves that everyone struggles with as it really works your abs-not to mention the shoulder pain when your learning it – but its worth it when you get it -which you will https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I’m still struggling with the arms on this combo but working on it – everyone on here is brilliant with tips and vid links https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif -
Thanks Veena -beautiful vid!
Dee – I’m still struggling with the hands! But I’ve 9 days and a Jenyne Masterclass between now and comp so not giving up yet https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Any plans to get back to the upside downs so we will be sharing a pole again? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif -
Your vid is brilliant! Thats great having a vid of it to replay and really see how the hands go – thank you! Determined to get this one https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Thanks guys https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
Will work on getting more speed and my hands right first and then pulling up into the shoulder mount from there. Fingers crossed! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
