I've always preferred practicing at the studio even if it is just the class. Something great about an open space, taller, sturdy, permanent poles and hard floors without any distractions. I"ve been trying to get my practice space with thos same things in mind.

I didn't see the detailed info about each DVD, I would be interested in seeing a trailer on YouTube to see how bad I want it LOL

congratulations, I've been working on weight loss and strength training so that I can pole like I want to be able to. Good job!

I would get those painful knots there even from stress and maybe posture. I did messages, tried heat or ice and it would help. To be honest it rarely comes back anymore since I've been working out my shoulders like with boxing. There must be something to better posture and muscle strength around that area.

Do I carry on with them..I am way frustrated with my pole progress found I was doing my best when I combined lessons here, practiced at home AND going to the class and getting help , a variation, being around other girls, wood floor, and permantly place poles. But for financial reasons I've gone back and forth with both seperately and together. If you are motivated enough with out going to class then Veena's lessons are perfect. I'm struggling with motivation on the pole and working out in other ways when I can't get to the gym. I've always loved checking up with Veena's help in a particular lesson and getting what else I forgot as soon as class was over. Especially what I think of as "secret hints" to get certain tricks. Veena tells us them! LOL

Thx, I'm gonna check it out. I've been wearing loose Old Navy Sweat shorts /draw string and with a big rear it isn't helping matters. They were cheap but for a video ……

I am trying to lose weight and get stronger on the pole. I do hard cardio and weight lifting. I work over night and 2 16 hr shifts back to back so it leaves the rest of the week open but then takes away a few too. Today I did an hour spin class ( balls out) , then body pump for an hour. Strechted for splits. I'm hoping tonight of trick practice. Ideally I wan to do 2 nights a week of solid practice if I don't have pole class but sometimes getting on the pole now is hard. I'm in a rut and feel frustrated but wow after a month of working out it definately made a difference!

Its the bow and arrow. Veena has a tutorial on this site. It is my move to work on next. What makes it look really cool is when they turn their head to look down and the floor! Scarey!
