Unfortunately intelligent and perfectly capable people can be very lazy! They won’t nessescerily know a member of staff is lazy and underperfoming unless you tell them. If you don’t tell them this member will continue to underperform and continue to provide bad service to other customers. If you do complain the company has the opportunity and evidence to take appropriate action and replace with (hopefully) a better agent. Companies can’t fire people on a whim, they do need your help in order to develop and grow!

Ranting online seems to be the “in” way to get things sorted these days but all it does it cause ill feeling.
If you have a complaint about a particular member of staff you should feed that back to x-pole so they can deal with it appropriately. How can they rectify an issue and improve their service if they are unaware of their teams poor performance?

Chem. I’ve sure I’ve seen a very similar twisty thing by Nadia Sharif. It’s in the routine where she’s like some zombie doll (don’t know how else to describe it) I think.

I’m on my phone so if I’m honest I couldn’t be bothered to read the whole thread, I honestly can’t see any serious damage being caused by the pole though.
The picture that was posted resembles my inner thighs after pole. I had stretch marks there as a teenager and they are now pretty invisible however they “flare up” after a pole session. They probably just become more visiable temporarily because the skin is so red and sore!
Rapid muscle gain and lack of certain vitamins can also cause stretch marks. I’ve gained some down the backs of my calves.

I had a little sob. Makes me appreciate how lucky I am to have a dad that supports me and pole.

Videopix – this allows you to watch the vid in slow motion and then screen capture a pose as a picture.
Pic Jointer – Self explanitary really.
iMovie – Somebody posted a tutorial using their iPad a few weeks back and I just had to have it! Can piece clips together then put new music over the top.
They make the time I spend on public transport far more productive!

I use the on my iPhone and find it actually works pretty well. I have editing apps too which allow me to take pictures using the frames from the vid and cut and merge clips together. It’s great as I don’t always have access to a laptop.

All our poles in class are static apart from one. That’s known as the death pole!

I call the full tuck a ball. Her spin is just a variation on it.

I’d love to come to this and the Dan Rosen workshop. Might be a stretch by the time I factor in hotel costs etc though. I’ll keep you updated. Fingers crossed I can come 🙂

The above also ties in with the comment aimed at tigerlillies about all studios being good but aimed at different people. I have been to three studios and would still attend all three if poss. My main one has an amazing sociable class and mostly pole conditioning. The other I attend to try more advanced moves. The third for choreography. If business is good, who cares what you’re known for?

I don’t think she said VJs wasnt good at other stuff. In my opinion it was a positive comment. ie: If you want to be sexy and sassy go to VJs. Not because you only do booty popping but because if the OP wants to learn that, you guys will sure be kick ass at teaching it!

It’s very long though and I just don’t think I could manage the whole 5 and a bit mins. My studio is fitness based so I don’t have the ability to fill some space with floor work and catch my breath! Even if I could, too much shimmy would probably be frowned apon.
