My studio uses Living Social and honestly that was the only way I would buy classes when I started. Not knowing if I would fall in love with pole it was so hard to commit to the 20 class package up front but the individual class price was so high. They also host a Free Intro workshop every Sat for new customers to get people in the door who are curious and think that they can’t “do pole”. Friday classes are a special of $5 a class. Use facebook and instagram to get the word out about your studio!

This pic was taken after my second 3 hour session (sorry I don’t have a healed pic available right now). It is my 3rd piece and by far the largest. I have a really high pain tolerance and was not bothered by the ribs at all. My artist told me that he thinks that most women tend to take the pain better than some men which made me smile because I think we can be badass! The meaning behind my design is very emotional to me but I really like the fact that most people just think it is a nice design and I don’t have to explain if I don’t want to. The 2 open flowers represent my 2 sons, the closed flower and cherry blossoms in the middle represent a baby that I lost. Having it by my heart was very important to me.

I was slightly annoyed that the Washington post article on this was so poorly written. They referred to her performing on her “stripper pole”. Just because it is a pole does not mean she was out there stripping! I saw a clip of video on youtube and nothing that she did was inappropriate in my opinion, including her outfit..a bathing suit while at the BEACH. The crowd was making horrible cat calls and saying rude comments about showing the money shot.

I’m interested too as I would like to use one outside because my ceilings are so low in my house.

Just got the Nom Nom Paleo book from my library this weekend. I have had the e-meals Paleo subscription for a few months and I started off doing well with that but found that they didn’t have much variety in the meals and everything started to seem the same. I am not a good cook and don’t like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen so any tips for faster meals as a full time working and mom of 2 would be great!

I was at Lowes hardware store the other night while hubby was buying some plumbing supplies I started eyeing the 10 foot galvanized pipes and was trying to figure out how I could make my own mount for it in the back yard to pole outside as my SV pole inside can’t be moved outside.

My graphite was a bottle not a spray but hubby stood at the top of the pole and did a few squeezes and spinned the pole to help it travel down. It took a few min for it to get all the squeaks. Keep a rag nearby for the first few uses after because I did have some drips at the bottom but haven’t had any additional drips after wiping it down.

liquid graphite resolved my squeak and I have to use a butter knife to pull the pin back up for static because my nails are not strong enough. Pushing down for spin is super easy though.
